where are my shorts?? I think I may actually need them!! :jumping4:

Am I the only one worried that that's a little too warm? I like to stay nice and cool. My finish picture should be real cute. I'll be red faced and blotchy! :earseek:

WOW!! That is fantastic! I think! I don't like to be too hot, but I really hate to be cold. I think it should be cooler in the morning so it won't be 80 till later in the day. Hopefully it will be in the 60's during the majority of the run. I have a calf length pair of compression pants that I am going to wear. I can pull them up slightly but if I went with shorts I would want some that are about down to my knees anyway so that there is no chance of chaffing on my thighs.

It's really starting to get close when we can say we will be there next weekend!!! Woo hoo!

Pixie,
I was hoping for cooler temps, but I can handle those 50s. I was really sweating Thursday morning and the temps were 56 when we finished. I am not sure I can wear a hat if it is warmer (too much heat on the head). I am hopeful that our waiting time will be more comfortable and that we will be finished before the temps get into the upper 60s. I do MUCH better in colder temps. I want a good picture too! :teeth:

Well, my warm weather running outfit is CoolMax men's shorts (yucky grey) and short sleeved red shirt. Won't I look dashinglol It's either that or the spandex capris that are too big and don't hold a THING in place! Either way, that pic is going to be a hoot!

Do they take one as you get off of the sweeper bus? Ooops! WE WILL NOT BE SWEPT!

THUNDER, THUNDER, THUNDERATION
WE'RE THE WISH . . . .

Wow!
Thanks for the info, I will need to re-think what I will wear to the 1/2 marathon.

They aren't going to get our bums in the picture, are they?!?! I had a pair of men's coolmax compression shorts but my DSis had a cow! She called the fashion police on me!

Now I am wearing a real sports bra (DSis again), a white men's coolmax shirt from Walmart with gray accents and a zippered neck, a BRIGHT TURQUOISE walking capris. The outfit does what it is supposed to do - keep me cool and not chafing... just not so sure about how I look.

I agree that these temps are way too warm to be comfortable. Add in the humidity and you will be very uncomfortable. I went walking yesterday in shorts and t-shirt and it was 60 degrees then and pretty nice. By the time you finish (before you get swept :rolleyes1 ) it will be closer to the higher temperature.

I keep hoping the temperature will drop a bunch before Saturday.

Those temps sound good. It won't be in the 80's when we finish I wouldn't think since it will still be early. I still need to get a pair of shorts to wear over my coolmax shorts. They fit just a bit too close for my comfort.

Guys--it won't be humid (okay--that's the Floridian talking)---if you feel its humid--it would be worse in August :)

I am still sticking with my pants--I didn't practice my high mile day with shorts :( Plus the picture of me will look more flattering ;)

I am very excited for the weather :)

Canadian board...someone talking to CM this morning said:
By the way, she said it was 80 degrees there yesterday. This morning, as I was talking to her at 7:00 a.m. it was 65 degrees.

Uh...65ºF by 7:00....and we'll have been walking for an hour....shorts and t-shirt....Come to me! :jumping4: :Pinkbounc :jumping4:

I'm thinking the weather is picture perfect as well! I'll bet it won't pass 72 by 9:30 - when we should all be done... except Lisa- Lisa, I'll bet it will be pretty close to 80 by noon!

Naaaahhhh---it's January--gotta remember the sun isn't directly overhead....so even if it hit 80--it'll be dropping once it hits ;)

Of course--in August--80 is a down right spring-like day...maybe in January it will feel like a heatwave :boat: .

Shorts and t-shirt for me. I have a spandex pair and cool-max shirt. I too was looking for it to be a bit cooler. I will still be bringing all that I have and decide the moment/night before. After all, I am a Penguin!

Lisa- I keep forgetting that you are a Florida girl! You will be just fine I am sure!!!

I think my walking apparel will consist of reg. old capris and a t-shirt! That's what I've been walking in anyway, and it's very comfortable for me. I goota find me some sun glasses though! I have a feeling it will be delightfully sunny that morning!

Absolutely awesome! I was worried we'd have frigid temps, but I've seen colder temps on my March trips. I am so bringing my bathing suit. Wheeeeee!!!! :Pinkbounc

I'm not terribly thrilled about the predicted temps! :( It's a bit too warm for my likings...hopefully I'll finish before it gets TOO hot....and with any luck it will at least be a cloudy day... :goodvibes
