Marathon day transportation - to view race ????

Search function is disabled, so I apologize if this is a repeat question.

My DH is running the marathon in January. I know he has to take a bus to the starting area by 4am, I believe . My question is this - since the parks don't open until 9am on that day, will there be transportation for me to get to race spots before the 8am start of the Disney transportation???

I don't see my DD and I making it to the start, but my DH would like us to meet him somewhere near the half way point (mile 13 or so), and I plan on at the very least seeing him finish (around the 4 hour time. I don't believe transportation for the 2nd half of his race will be a problem, but if he hits the halfway mark around 8am - I'm concerned about moving around at that point.

I hope this makes sense, and appreciate any info that can be provided.

You could always walk over to the Pluto parking lot from WL or to the MK. We'll be in the same boat. We're staying at VWL and my husband is running the 1/2. We want to see him take off from Epcot and run through MK, ending at the Pluto Parking lot.
