I have several questions regarding the characters at the Marathons:
1. Do they take pic only?
2. Do the runners have a specific elapsed time to run?
3. How do characters in marathon run?

If you mean the characters along the route of the race then I can help. I have done several races at Disney and I can start telling you that they are amazing. You are expected to do a mile in 16 minutes or less. The characters are along the way. The characters don't run. They are there just for photos. But do know that there are lines for each character. Also on the way there are djs, choirs, bands, trampolines jumpers and more. The races are so much fun.

Awesome!! I am looking for some characters that only appear along the race such as Darkwing Duck and Meet the Robinson heroes (Lewis and Wilbur) among others. So how many miles there are in the January marathon?

26.2 miles on the January marathon. There is also a 5k for the family and that one is always fun too.

The marathon weekend in January has a 5k on Thursday,10k on Friday, half marathon(13.1 miles) on Saturday with the full marathon (26.2 miles) on Sunday, you can also sign up for all 4 races which is known as the Dopey Challenge and the Goofy Challenge which is signing up for the half and the full which is what I'm running in January. There's also the Wine and Dine half marathon in November, the Tower of Terror ten miler in October, the Princess half marathon in February and the Expedition Everest challenge in May.Every race has a 16 minute per mile requirement,if you fall off that pace you can be picked up and taken to the finish line. There will be characters and entertainment throughout the courses,I take pics of the mile markers and of some characters but not with me in them,I'm running a marathon and can't see myself waiting too long to take a pic.
