As of now we are eating at Marakesh next week. I am starting to rethink that(part of the crazy OMG we are leaving Friday!!!!! stress) I was reading here about tight tables- we have 4 children- so tight is a problem. We specifically didn't do San Angel this trip because of the close tables- so are they as close as that? And if I change where the heck are we going? Maybe room service? In Epcot we have Garden Grill, Coral Reef, Alfredos, Teppanyaki and Marakesh booked- but I am thinking of canceling Teppanyaki too since I just found out no DDE taken there :guilty: I think I am answering my own ? I think I am going to scrap it unless someone gives me some resounding reason why we should go.....We have been to every restaurant in Epcot except this one which was why we were going to try it. but I don't think that is a good enough reason anymore. So what should I do ..please brain dead here too excited to sleep- and have to pack but can't start.

I am not a big fan of Moroccon food. But I know some people rave about it on these boards.

We just got back last night and ate at Marakesh on Friday night. We had 3 children and we were seated in a corner to ourselves. I didn't think that the tables seemed anymore closer together or more crowded then anywhere else that we ate.

We LOVED our meal and our waiter was wonderful with the kids. We ended up going back for lunch the next day the kids enjoyed it so much.

Ick! We didn't like the food either. However the seating wasn't a problem at all. We had plenty of room.

We really enjoy eating here. We make it part of every trip. The food is good, the setting is beautiful and the CM's are very friendly. I do not think the tables are close together at all. I think you should keep your ADR.
As you said, where else are you going to eat? Worst case scenario, if you got there and you thought the surroundings did not meet your needs, you do not have to stay. I doubt this would be the case. But you would be no worse off, as you probably can't get an ADR for anywhere else now anyway. As you said, it may be Room Service that night.
I say go for it!

I agree with PA Disney Lover. The tables are not set that much different from other restaraunts. We have gone with 9 people and haven't had anyone be uncomfortable about being crowded. We go to Marakesh at least every other trip we take to Disney. We have never gone away unhappy. The cast members are great and the food is excellent. My husband likes the belly dancers although he won't admit that it is a perk. They have a band and a belly dancer every so often that puts on shows. You never know unless you try it for yourself. Let us know what you decide. Hope you have a wonderful time in the World.

If we don't do Marrakesh, is Tangierine Cafe a suitable alternative.

I like it, and the kids should be very happy if they will eat something simple like chicken kebobs/beef kebobs. It comes with rice -- tasty, but nothing most kids nowadays would consider "spicy."

The restaurant itself is lovely and the belly dancer is quite a different experience! Kids love the music, too.

ok I am keeping it!! We are all adventurous eaters- my DH LOVES spicy, now if this was India he would be in heaven.... but I think we are going to give it a whirl. Thanks all for the info and hand holding. I'll be sure to take pictures!
