I wouldn’t be surprised if they went with making Villains Land a fifth gate for Walt Disney World! The question, though, is where in Disney World would it be built?
Yeah that's not happening. So much needs to be done (and is already planned) with their current parks with adding capacity, maintenance of current attractions and refurbs.I wouldn’t be surprised if they went with making Villains Land a fifth gate for Walt Disney World! Or maybe its to help Josh look as much as possible as the anti-Chapek. Remember Bob 2.0 got the blame for cutting back drastically at SWGE. Now you have Josh saying hold on we're not spending enough here...now he's a fan favorite and hopefully Wall St will look favorably on investment decisions like this.I'd hope that they are constantly refining their plans for new construction. I don't think that's the same thing as totally scraping them though. I suspect this is more of an over-reaction or an attempt to get clicks.
I just checked and people in that thread are now arguing over who's been the better CEO in recent memory. So cancel what I said here.Have not checked the board where this originated since it first popped up but likely some interesting discussion happening right now.
I don't understand why people are suggesting this is Josh's doing as the new CEO. He was fully in charge of this in his previous role. Has he changed his mind?
I'm hoping Josh has bigger plans. I've never been a fan of the whole "Villains Land" concept. It's a big yawn for me.I think Josh wants to make Villains Land a large part of his legacy.
Chacun à son goût. It sounds very fun to me!I'm hoping Josh has bigger plans. I've never been a fan of the whole "Villains Land" concept. It's a big yawn for me.

I mean you're already saying you expect it to be the best land in what is by most accounts the #1 theme park in the world. I am not sure how they could exceed that expectation... but a lot of ways they could fall short.Look, it's nice to hear that they're allegedly going bigger on the budget.
Having said that, and I truly hope I'm wrong here, but, regardless of budget, I think it's going to be hard for Villains land to live up to the hype it already has.
It definitely needs to be WDWs best land, and I actually do expect it to be. Yet, even if it is, I still think it will be very hard to actually exceed anyone's expectations. I really long for the day where something at WDW will truly exceed my expectation again and I hope they prove me wrong.
The interesting thing is I could see Piston Peak being a HUGE hit because I don't think it's getting very much hype at all, which gives it a ton of potential in regard to exceeding guest expectations.
Sign me up! This really is all I want too as I'm more of a coaster enthusiast at heart than I am a theming enthusiast. I'm hoping for something similar to VelociCoaster on the thrill level, but I'm not necessarily expecting it. At least make it the most intense coaster Disney has ever built. This would definitely exceed my expectations if it happens.I'm all in on the idea of a Maleficent roller coaster with some loops. I'm easy to please, gimme!![]()

I am not enthused about a villain themed land either. I would rather show support for the heroes than the villains. However, I hope it’s good and people flock to it and leave the rest of MK for me. I won’t be spending much time with the villains or the cars.I know there are people that really go in for the Villains... but a whole Villains land at Magic Kingdom? But think it's a done deal, I can't see them actually scrapping the plans, rather they might tweak them a little to improve upon what they are doing.
