Can anyone explain to me what and how this works? Is the concert a separate ticket and where is it at? Same with the floats, etc. Does it happen at closing @ 8pm? We are newbies to Univ. and are so excited to try it out. This will be our first day there. :) thanks!!!!

Your park ticket (regular admission) includes Mardi Gras. They also sell an after 5 ticket for those who don't have the regular day tickets and just want to go to the parade and concert. But it is not a separately ticketed event. The rides all shutdown by 8:00 PM. on March 10.

The parade starts at 8:00 PM inside Universal Studios. Consult the park map for the parade route. The concert follows after the parade, usually around 8:30 PM. The concert is between Jimmy Neutron and Twister and is also included in your regular admission. All of this occurs inside the Studios so make sure you are there at least an hour before the parade to make sure you get inside the turnstiles in time. So if you spend the day at Islands of Adventure, make sure you head over to the Studios in plenty of time.

Welcome and I know you'll have a great time. Mardi Gras happens after the parks close and as long as you're in the park when it closes, your day ticket is good..you do NOT have to buy another ticket. The concerts are usually in the open area between Twister and Jimmy Neutron. I'll be over there that night as well. I've wanted to see The Doobie Brothers for a long time. It should be a great concert! :thumbsup2

You're going to have a blast. IOACentral Radio will be recording from Mardi Gras on the 10th......so look for a bunch of fatguys huddled around a trashcan and a microphone. Also for answers to this and a lot of other questions, check out the FAQ....loads of useful info to help you along.:thumbsup2
