I'm more like Eeyore and Pooh than I care to admit

Hi,
I'm going to be at the Disney Parks in October (18-25) 2008. I am wondering about some of the things that I'm planning. So far I have a breakfast at Cape May with characters, and a late lunch at Crystal Palace with characters. I am trying to decide between the Hoop Dee Doo or Mickey's BY BBQ. Any suggestions?

My issue is that I've heard from many people and sites that Cape May is the best, and my son (4 years old) wants to see Eeyore and Pooh. So... I think that Eeyore is only at Crystal Palace, is that correct? What about Olivia's at the Florida Keys resort? And what about any other things that I definitely shouldn't miss?

I'm traveling with my Mom and my son (who is 4, as I said). We're leaving Dad home since he would NOT enjoy the money being spent :o)

I also want to order gluten-free meals for my Mom... has anyone had any experiences with this?

I am open to any and all comments and suggestions. I want this to be a really great trip for my son. We are doing Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party on the Tuesday night. Just so many things to do! A week is no where enough time!

Thanks so much to everyone who responds!
Dee:thanks:

Olivia's at Old Key West does not have a character meal.

with my youngest is that they are very anxious to get out to the parks. If you are interested in another character meal you might consider Hollywood and Vine which has characters from Jo Jo's Circus and Little Einsteins. Kids are that watch Toon Disney are also familiar with them.

Between Mickey's Barbecue and HDDR I would rewcommend HDDR. Mickey's can get crowded and is subject to weather.

We've never eaten at Cape May, but we have eaten at Crystal Palace. The Pooh characters are there, including Eeyore, and it's a lot of fun!

I'm sure there are people out there that can give you information about Gluten Free- I would start a new post in the Restaurants forum with Gluten Free somewhere in the title.

We've done Hoop De Doo and had a great time, but have never done Mickey's BY BBQ, so I'm not much help with that.

The Halloween Party is so much fun - are you all going in costume??

You will have a great trip - just keep reading the boards and asking questions!!

I noticed this is your first post - WELCOME TO THE DIS!! :welcome:
