Friday 5th January 07
We had brekkie in our room and left the Pop just after 8am for Islands of Adventure.
It was very busy at opening and we only managed to ride The Hulk twice as the lines were getting long.
We thought wed leg it to Duelling Dragons and hopefully miss a lot of the crowds. We were really lucky and we rode it 4 times (twice on each side) before the crowds caught up with us.
As we wanted to do some shopping today, we left IOA around 11am and went to the Mall at Millenia, where Becky bought some DC trainers and Kerry bought a top.
We had lunch in the food court and then went to buy some more supplies from Wal-Mart.
After our daily sit out by the pool, we caught the bus to Magic Kingdom. We rode Pirates of the Caribbean, Stitchs Great Escape, the TTA and Big Thunder Mountain and we pigged out on McDonalds fries and the most delicious samosas from a stall in Adventureland. I also picked up a Birthday button for me for the next day.
When we got back to the Pop, there was a message on our phone from my friend who I was supposed to be meeting the next day (my birthday) and as she was staying at the Pop she asked us if we would like to meet up in the bar. So Paul & I got ready and met Betsy & Mike (who were coming on our Cruise and who Ive been chatting to nearly everyday for a year). It was lovely to finally meet them and we had a good chat for an hour or so, and we arranged to meet up the following evening in the Rose & Crown for a birthday drink.
We went back to the room where Paul sorted out my birthday pressies and put some more decorations up
Tomorrow ~ Woohoo !! Its my birthday and Oh Mandy
