Wednesday 7th January ‘09 (High 77F)

Paul & I had a lie in till 7.45am this morning and arrived at the Disney Hollywood Studios at normal opening time (9am). It was very cloudy and rather windy too and thankfully the park wasn’t too busy either

We got a fastpass for Tower of Terror, and joined the standby line for it too. We then rode RockNRollerCoaster and used our fastpass for ToT.

We wandered around the park and when we left around 10.45am, we picked up a fastpass for Toy Story Mania for later on in the afternoon

We went back to the Pop to pick the girls up (they wanted a lie in today, yet again ) and we drove to DownTown Disney to see if we could get a table at T-Rex

T-Rex opened at 11am, so when we arrived at 11.30am we had no problems getting a table

We absolutely loved the place. The dinosaurs and the atmosphere were lots of fun. We started with the ‘Supersaurus Sampler’, then for mains, I had ‘Fire Roasted Rotisserie Chicken’, Paul had ‘Layers of the Earth Lasagne’, Kerry & Becky had the ‘Boneyard Buffet’ (chicken and ribs) and Bex had the lasagna too

The food was very nice, and the portions were dinosaur size too. We will definitely try and eat here again. (on a side note – it is very noisy here with the ‘volcanoes’ going off every now and again, it certainly isn’t somewhere to go if you want a quiet meal – but that wouldn’t put us off)

After lunch we looked around the shops at DTD, and then we went to the Mall at Millenia and Festival Bay

We dropped the girls back at the Pop, and just got back to the Disney Hollywood Studios to use our Toy Story Mania fastpasses. After the ride we ‘met’ Sully & Mike and Lightning McQueen & Mater again, then we went to see the Indiana Jones show

We left DHS and went to the Premium Outlets where I picked up a few things at the Character Corner and Paul bought a new watch

We left the outlets and went to Animal Kingdom for evening EMH (5-8pm). We arrived around 6.20pm and the place was so quiet. We rode Expedition Everest twice, and it was great riding it in the dark

We left around 7.30pm and Kerry joined us in the food court for some dinner (the others had already eaten). After dinner I did some shopping at the Pop shop and then we settled down for an early night

We had a lovely look round T-Rex (when the in-laws had the kids) but the queue was too long. We can't get Molly into the Rainforest so T-Rex - not a chance!

T Rex looks brilliant, but I'm not sure I can bring myself to go there! Amber will be dragging us into the shop in any event.

I do like Paul's Dinoco T Shirt, and very apt for your evening
