Manchester airport parking

Hi,
We're flying from Mancester on 13 Sept, but are staying overnight at the Crowne Plaza near the airport and are doing the night before check-in. Can anyone give me any info on short stay parking at the airport, as I've never had to drive right into the airport before - we've always parked off site.

would you be able to park at the hotel and get a on their shuttle bus from there,thats if they have one. just a thought i had as i know that sometimes the hotel price at some hotels includes the carparking.

Yes, we're leaving the car at the hotel for the two weeks, but I assumed we could only use their shuttles on the morning of our flight, I hadn't thought of doing that the night before. DOH!!

I might give them a call and ask if this would be ok, at least then I would only have to navigate to the hotel!! (ONLY!!!)

We always stay at the Crowne Plaza when we fly from Manchester. The hotel is only across the road from the airport and it is easily walkable. You just cross over the road and access the terminals via the multi storey car park. We usually walk over after we arrive and have a look round and a drink.

You probably won't want to do that if you are checking in your luggage the night before so I would recommend usuing the courtesy shuttle. Just go to reception when you are ready and they will call the mini bus. The journey to the terminals is less than 5 mins.

Which Manchester Airline allows the night before check-in? I am flying next year from Manchester with Virgin and wish they had the Gatwick Twilight check-in.

Thanks for that guys, we're flying with First Choice and they have twilight check in 12pm til 10pm the night before. It cost £5 each, but it means we don't have to check in til an hour before our flight.

Well worth it. I hope Virgin does some catch up with First Choice for next year. You certainly have a good flight to look forward to.

Hi

We have just got back this morning !
We stayed at the crowne plaza Manchester the night before we flew and left our car with them . They take it to a secure parking site and return it the day before you arrive back. We landed at 4:30 am. Once we collected our luggage and went through customs we used the free phone in the arrivals and within 4 mins a shuttle bus was there and took us to our car. The service was really good and we would definatly do it again !.

MrsJobba1, what was the hotel like? Did you eat there or in the airport, or somewhere else - both for dinner and breakfast? We've never stayed over the night before a flight, so don't know what to do really!!

Sorry for all the questions, but I'm starting to get excited now its less than a month away!!

No worries about asking questions !

We checked in at 2pm. Our room was really nice. DH went to the gym and I went to the pool. Nice pool and Spa bath, I was there virtually by myself for and hour and a half !

The hotel has two restaurants Sampans an oriental/asian cuisine and a general one. We ate at Sampans, food was very nice a little pricey but it was a hotel. There is also an irish pub attached to hotel that was good. They also did pub food (cheaper).

We had breakfast there, excellent but very pricey. I am actally going to phone 'going places' as were under the impression we had B&B. However after opening my mountian of mail this morning I found that we have been charged £31 for breakfast.(For 2 ) Check your reservation to see wether it was included!

Again Park and Fly worked very well for us.
