I was just wondering if anyone could recommend an airport hotel with 15 days car parking near to manchester airport that you leave the car at the hotel. :thumbsup2

Have only experienced the SAS Radisson and would hightly recommend it although I know a lot of people consider it too expensive. The car was just outside the door when we returned. The cost is given for 14 nights parking and we had to pay about £7 per night for each extra night.

We've stayed at Bewleys and the Crowne Plaza and both were fine, pretty similar in terms of facilities and I believe they both offer parking for 2 weeks or more (offsite though)

We have stayed at the Crowne Plaza twice & no problems, they do tell you for longer stays your car will be taken off-site but it is brought back for your arrival but like most if not all free parking is only up to 14 days so you would have to pay for the 15th. Have a look at www.fhr-net.co.uk
SD:thumbsup2

hi weve stayed at bewleys. Hotel was great. Im sure your getting a room and 15days parking for £99.Great deal.:yay: have a look on their website

We're staying at the Hilton in April.

Booked it through Holiday Extras and chose the 4* 'pot luck' option ;)

£89.76, inc CC fee, for 1 night's hotel and parking - maybe have to pay an extra day on return but we've never been asked before.

If we'd chosen the Hilton, specifically, it was an extra £30 or so!

Have you thought about some kind of taxi service instead.
This is what we used last time.
Pickup from Bradford to Manchester and back at the end of the holiday, for 5 of us was £105.
The benifit for me was that I didn't have to drive home on return to Manchester as I was really tired.
We used a company called Elite Voyager in Bradford, but they will be similar companies near you I'd have thought.

I've looked at this but I assumed you wouldn't get to know until really close to departure - which kind of put me off abit. Did you get to know your "pot luck" hotel at the time of booking?

Yes, straight away :)

We chose the 3* option last time we travelled and got the Britannia Country House.
A nice enough hotel but the transfers weren't too great when we landed home and we ended up paying £25 for a taxi to collect the car rather than wait an hour :)

We've stayed at both Bewleys and the Crowne Plaza, definitely preferred the CP (and got it free with Priority Points:thumbsup2), but Bewleys was OK too.

I highly recommend the SAS Radisson, it is right on the airport, 5 minutes to T2. Car in their car park on return with no hanging around for shuttle buses. It also has a neat gym with pool, sauna and steam room where you can chill out for an hour or two which is so relaxing.

Have used the Quality Inn at Altrincham a couple of times and your car stays in the Hotel car park. Have booked the crown plaza this trip as it was cheaper and was led to believe my car was staying their. Have not been informed otherwise so will be a bit annoyed if it is moved off site.

I'm really drawn to booking this for the night before we fly. However, when I try to get a quote through various discount agents it's not coming up so I'm guessing 6 months is too early - all the other hotels are showing?

To book direct with Radisson is coming out at £200 for a family room with 15 days parking but I'm sure I could get it cheaper than that. :confused3

The 'TOP SECRET' 4* hotel on lastminute.com is actually the Radisson SAS, where I intended to stay anyway. Just booked it for Aug for £75 room only, it is £99 for the same room through any of the hotel booking sites or Radisson directly. (there is no parking with this deal)
Must admit I was a little worried when booking that it was the right hotel otherwise I would have had to pay again or put up with something else.

Does anyone know if these 'Top Secret' hotels are always the same?

It depends on the description as to which one it is, the description for the one I chose is word for word straight off the Radisson website. As it has to have those features it is cannot be any other as it gives distances to train station, the terminals etc.
There is plenty of further info about it on moneysavingexpert forum, the Martin Lewis website.

Thanks for the info.

When I put a quote in for my dates think it's giving me the Hilton!! Never mind.

Another big thumbs up for the SAS Raddisson. Their family room is actually two interconnecting rooms with a view on the Manchester Airport runway! My children really loved this!!!! We enjoyed a short walk to the airport the night before and had no hassle walking the skywalk to the terminal the day of our flight. I will always do this from now on!!!! Can't remember how much we paid - think it was aorun £185 for night before plus 22 days parking! Car was outside their door on arrival!

HTH

I think it was the SAS Raddison that we stayed in when were flew off on honeymoon. It was lovely - infact we were gutted as it was the day after our wedding and we had spent the day doing loads of stuff and didn't get to the hotel til something like 9.30 at night and would have gone down earlier and used the leisure club etc had we known how nice it was, we also had to get up at something stupid like 3 am for our flight. Left our car in the car park covered in lovehearts and still with the ribbon on!
