On our upcoming trip in Dec we will be travelling with friends who have their own room reservation so based on what I have seen I will make sure my family is all set up under my MDX account (like prior trips) and then our friends will need to do the same with all of their family under their MDX account. Then I need just add them as a Guest via an existing reservation # and I'll be able to include all of them under my MDX account, correct? And my friend can do the same so they can see all of us under their account? After that is done can either account holder make Dining RSVPs and/or FP+ requests for one more people in the entire group? It seems that for FP+ I can create multiple groups so I can separate the older folks out for thrill rides as well as the one kiddo that would be too short for some of the rides as well.

For those that have traveled as a larger group and had to combine MDX account activity was it fairly straight forward?

Thx!

My parents have an MDX account, and I have one with my kids on it, then my sister has an account. It's super straightforward. Both sides will need to agree to share plans (so you add someone, and send a request to share plans, which they allow. Then they'll add you, send a request and you'll allow) but that's the only fiddly bit, and it's really clear where things are in the process.

Once you've shared plans, fastpasses and dining reservations are just like they're in your MDX account.

Thanks, that is what I was hoping for. Since we just secured our room reservations this past week I haven't even linked mine to my MDX account yet. Our friends need to create their account so they can link their MDX account to their room reservation. The only caveat I have heard is that the Account Name you used for your room reservation needs to be the same as the one you use for MDX, is that correct? I want to make sure the "right" person creates the MDX account in the right name to alleviate any potential issues.

One of the adults on the reservation should make the MDX account, yes. So if Joe and Jane Doe are registered in the room, the MDX account should be created/managed by either Joe or Jane, not their 13 year old son Charlie. (IMO, minor accounts are so limited to be useless.)
