Hi all, we had an issue at the ASM 2 years ago where we had a problem with the room. Long story short, the executive housekeeper told us to call her the next time we were planning a trip and that she would get us a Manager's pass to get to the front of the lines. Is this real? Anyone know what it entails?

I had an issue one time getting annual passes printed at MK, the cm gave us 3 "front of the line" passes for 2 people each (my mom and I). We got one last year when our VGC at Disneyland was not available until 4:45. In both cases, it was one ride per pass for the number of people indicated and it was collected when used. It was not a "blanket" front of the line for all rides.

Never heard of it...:confused3 Not that it means that it doesn't exist.
Even if it DID exist, I can't imagine being able to use it 2 years later...especially without already having something in hand. Who knows if that same person is still in that position? Or how in the World you would begin to call her to get such a thing?
We did have a weird experience a few years ago at our LeCellier dinner and the manager came over and gave our family a fastpass for any ride. But it had to be used that day, in that Park. Maybe that is what it was?

We were sitting in front of the Dole Whip place eating our DWs and a CM came up to us randomly to ask us if we could name 3 places that served Dole Whips. We named three, MK, Captain Cooks and DL. He gave us a little slip of yellow paper that looked like a receipt and it said we could use it for FP for all 4 of us on any ride. pixiedust:

Not a front of the line, but I know that the CMs can give them out if they want for random things. That was 5 years ago though.

My sister received some special passed because she had a huge problem with her room. Picture being told your room was ready while you were at the park and coming back to the hotel at ten with three small kids to find out it wasn't cleaned at all from the previous occupant (pizza boxes, used tissues the works) then being told housekeeping went home and they couldn't help you until the morning. It was bad. But the manager came up to the room and left to deal with it. When he came back he handed them a stack of fast passes good for any ride.

There are such things... DVC gives out a similar cards as incentive to take the tour or sign up. When we committed to dvc we were given 20 or so "instant" fast pass cards. When inserted into a FP machine they would spit out a fast pass that was good immediately instead of whatever the return time was. Each card was good for 3 uses.

I wonder what system they would use now that FP machines are on the way out.

Not sure if they will honor it after 2 years. My guess is that the 'executive housekeeper' (whatever that is) would not even be there anymore, or remember who you are. Also, never heard of a manager's pass, but we have been given some good anytime FPs by CMs, but only by CMs in the parks.

I'm thinking only MAW guests get anything like a front of the line pass, or are you thinking of something more FP-like?

Now you don't put them into a FP machine, you just turn into the CM at time of use. You use the one pass for as many people as are there/listed on the ticket...whenever you want.

We received 4 of these in early December after being given access to someone else's room at check-in at POP (along with small $ compensation). Thankfully they weren't there, but all of their belongings were. I was more concerned that the family no longer had access to the room (were at pool/etc., as the lights were on). I just wanted compensation for lost time...walking across that resort takes some time! The FP were park specific. The manager asked me what park we were going to the next day, which was MK, so he gave us 4 that were good for up to 5 people, any ride, any time, expired in 10 days maybe (from date of issue). They offered the room $ compensation initially, which I wasn't really interested in (was only $70/night), but wanted something to address the loss of time, so I asked if they could provide some FP to give back some park time...and the manager stepped in and resolved it quickly. I just politely asked, and was pleased walking away.

We ended up not even needing them, thanks to FP+ and going during a slow time period. Our last day there, handed 2 of them over to a 'just married' couple as a wedding gift.
