Yes, I find it very bothersome that it seems to be socially acceptable to judge the value of the woman based on her sexual experience or lack thereof. IMO that's exactly what the creep in the OP was doing.

Everyone agrees that it is wrong when the pervert in the OP does it. I don't consider that debatable.

However, when someone jokes about it from another prospective - it gets laughs and thumbs up. IMO it all comes around to objectifying women.

In this thread - it is what bothered me the most because it was happening in the thread. Some random weirdo in the news who is getting his jollies from the publicity he is generating doesn't personally bother me as much as a prevailing attitude that I find degrading to women.

As I stated before - if I had to grade the sicko factor, the guy would win hands down. However, I was referring to what was bothering me in this thread.

Exactly. That is why it was so incredulous that you would first comment about my joke, rather than this pedophile. And my joke had nothing to do with a woman who is a virgin, but was about a man who would only consider a female with an intact hymen as marriagable material to the point where he would be attempting to buy a child. Now that is degrading to women. That you can't see that is beyond me.
