Man falls 20ft in Tower of Terror line

Wow- what an idiot. Bet the people in line were unimpressed....having to wait while they got ambulances etc!:headache:

Another good reason that they shouldn't be serving alcohol at Disney, lol. He's very lucky it was only 20 feet.

Now watch...he's gonna sue and OSHA is gonna shut down that ride until they put up a railing just like with Alice, lol.

Totally agree Connie- no one takes responsibility for their own actions anymore.
My daughter started a thread commenting on being offered alcohol at the Princess breakfast. Maybe it is an Australian thing, but we have never been offered this here (obviously we have champagne breaksfasts, but that is a completely different thing)
Most of the replies could see nothing wrong with it, but it only takes one idiot to overindulge & all hell breaks loose!

What was this guy trying to do? I am assuming he fell from the upper que area to the lower over the railing. But why would anyone climb over the rail when the only place to go is 30 feet down? Was the line shorter below and he wanted to cut the fast way?

What an idiot...and he was drinking?!

All castmembers card at all places serving alcohol right???

Perhaps he brought in his own....:sad2:

Wow- I forgot the drinking age is 21- it is 18 here.....so he was underage & drinking

Someone said "You can't make anything idiot proof because idiots are so ingenious." How true.

Mary

I just read bout this and couldn't help but laugh!!! REALLY?!?!? You climb over a rail..talk bout the chances of someone falling over and the idiot that does it is you?!?!? :lmao::lmao::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: How's that for irony?!?

I hope he tries to sue Disney and when he does..Disney just laughs at him!! Walt's probably havin a good laugh himself!!!

It said there were some indications that he had been drinking. It doesn't say what these "indications" were. Who says he wasn't medicated, high, or something else? If he had been drinking, how do you know he wasn't drinking BEFORE he came into the parks? It's also possible that if he was drinking in the park, that he snuck in his own alcohol. Don't be so quick to point fingers without all of the facts.

Don't start blaming alcohol for plain old teenage stupidity. This is just another example of a stupid teenager doing something stupid (hmmm, how often does that happen?).

On a side note, I'm can't picture where que two levels. Is it somewhere after you've entered into the boiler room?

when you first enter the building in the queue, the CM tells u to either go to the right side or the left side. If i remember correctly, the left side is downstairs and the right side u go upstairs. Either side you watch the short video and on the right side you go upstairs to wait in line instead of staying downstairs.

Actually the POLICE are saying that this was a case of underage drinking. And since it was also reported that he and his friends had been there all day (accident occured at 10:30pm)....well, I suppose they could have snuck in alcohol, but the bag check should have found that right?

Lucky for the Disney employee who served the 20yo alcohol, the "social host" law signed by Gov Schwarzenegger didn't take effect until the day after the "accident" because that law holds the adult who served the alcohol responsible for the his injuries. Of course, Disney will end up being liable for his stupidity anyway.

And...my opinion doesn't change...I still don't think they should be serving alcohol in the parks (restaurants sure because you can control who is drinking it and whether they've already had too much). Walt was always opposed to it, wish they'd respected that. IF they could enforce a policy where those who are showing signs of having had too much wouldn't be served I'd have a lot less problem with it....but of course that would mean saying no to a guest. I'm not opposed to drinking...and do a bit of it myself, but responsibly, something many people seem incapable of unfortunately.

.

No even close. As long as the alcohol wasn't in a glass bottle or its original container I highly doubt bag check would have blinked twice at it.

Actually, alcohol didn't play a part in the accident. The officer said that there were indications of alcohol. Then in a later story (see the link above), said that alcohol WAS NOT a factor in the accident.

As I mentioned earlier, this is a case of plain old stupidity by a teenager (or 20 year old as it turns out in this case).

Glad to hear it was plain ole stupidity rather than being under the influence..:confused3 Kid's still a moron.

Acutally Connie, it's VERY easy to sneak your own alcohol in....vodka looks exactly like water if you put it in a plain water bottle. Not giving anyone ideas, just saying.

Here's a joke that's going around:

"Do you suppose when he fell, he then came back up, then fell again, and came back up...kinda like the ride?"
