Man arrested at WDW

OK, that took a few minutes to register. A belated :rotfl2: to FWGuy.

sorry, i may be the only one here that would say anything and i've never been a michael jackson fan, but that was in extremely poor taste and can't really see what anyone would find funny at all. my opinion, of course.

The thing is this idiot has never had the living S.... beat out of him that's all i can say.

Actually, what I said was sad but true. If you have enough money and some talent in America today, you can get away with just about anything. My point is we are honoring the life of someone who was every bit as despicable as this slob, but the difference is he is just some unknown jerk. It's more a commentary on our society than anything else.

Agreed.

I thought it was funny, well thought out and perfectly timed......but Im a sick bast...er,.....I have a sick sense of humor. And, while I dont find child molestation in the least bit funny, I DO find it funny to belittle, berate, and beat the hell the offenders!

It takes time to understand the personalities at work here. We weren't making light of the alleged molestation, or the child that was victimized. One look through the responses from all of us makes it clear where our sympathies lie.

We were ridiculing Michael Jackson. Nothing about him or his life was in good taste. And people all over the world gave him money so he could buy whatever he wanted, including silence. The sad fact is that his money and fame allowed him to go where ordinary people are not allowed. And even now the adoration parade goes on. We never learn.

Very sad. As a mother of three little girls and one boy it breaks my heart to hear about this. My oldest daughter was molested by her cousin. I do not trust anyone anymore. It can be a family member, police officer, school teacher, someone you would have trusted to care for your children. I would love to put all molesters away forever. With my daughters case this family member was on probation for 2 years and not to be around anyone under the age of 13. But now he is "free" to be around anyone. My daughter was one of four that he molested. I feel he should have had a much stronger punishment. It has been four years now but I can't forgive him for what he did. Thanks for reading my vent.

All that money, all the forgiveness, all the plastic surgery, all the silence he bought, all the germ resistant masks, all the pairs of gloves he separated, all the youth he stole from little boys...and he's still DEAD. He just couldnt moonwalk away from death!!!

natkin.....my heart goes out to you and yours.

i know exactly where the ridicule lies. Just wondering what gives anyone here on this board (or anywhere) the right to judge others; not sure where that comes from exactly.
Whether he was guilty or not is not for us to decide. A mother lost a son, children lost a dad, whether that person or his life was "not in good taste" is beside the point. I did not "adore" him and don't own a single MJ album/cd. I'll remove my thread subscription so all you perfect people can continue to discuss it.

As you prefer. You are judging, just as you condemn us for doing the same.

I don't think I understand people... no, I KNOW I don't understand people.

Why anyone would think *I'M* perfect, is truly beyond the realm of my comprehension.

Oh well, maybe it's just as well to see it as a compliment.

THANK YOU!
Love and hugs,
Rose

Every now and then the wall round the Community Board cracks and someone wanders out. One of us must have something good cooking on the grill.

I still think if this guy who got arrested at WDW had a million and a half bucks he might be able to pay off the father of this girl and then he wouldn't be a child molestor anymore.

I also think somebody needs a nap.

Just reminds you that even at Disney, you can't let your guard down with your kids and you must continue to keep your radar on about everyone who is around you or whom you encounter while there. Disney does an awesome job of keeping their parks safe, but they are not invulnerable to people like this..Mickey can't be everywhere!!!! I share the same sentiment about this sicko though..I could really love taking some of my aggression out on him!!!!

I agree that MJ has gotten away with too much with his fame and fortune. I have never spent one penny on his music, or anything else he has touched.

I have three daughters and it scares me if something like this ever happened to them. I am scared that I would do what so many people joke about doing. Something that would land my butt in jail. A very close female family member has been hurt by this type. I am fortunate he didn't press charges and there were several people who stopped me.

That being said, I do feel it is bad timing to discuss MJ's life. A few weeks from now he is fair game. Just not today.

Stories like this explain why I'm a overprotective Dad. I'm travelling in Oct with my 6yr old daughter and travelling alone with my little does not concern me. What does concern me is things like finding family washrooms in airports and the parks.....silly right.

I saw that story last night and was surprised that the rest of the board had not picked it up. That is one sick puppy, and I hope they give him the maximum. The bail they set was criminal!

I know we would like to think that Disney is safe, and for the most part it is, but there are sickos in every crowd. My first CP I had a very close call in the PI Parking Lot coming out of a midnight movie. None of my fellow Cast Members (we all went as agroup) would walk me to my car. On my way there, four guys in a large SUV did a U-Turn when they saw me and followed me to my car. I broke into a run as soon as I saw it and they sped up. We reached the car at the same time and they actually started to open their doors when I jumped in and locked mine. They shut their doors and sped off. To this day I am scared to think of what could have happened had I not reached my car before they did. And it wasn't for lack of security. I passed security patrol on my way to my car, but they can't be everywhere at once.

It's sad that even in such a magical place we can't let our guard down. :sad1:
