Mama Melrose's

We went w/ the Fantasmic package last year and had an incredible meal. Loved the service and the food was great, loved the desert too and getting to see Fantasmic w/out the line was an added bonus. We are going back this year. Loved their salad!

The food is awsome!!! We'll be eating there again on 1/1/06 yummy. If you like wine? it goes down nice with your meal.

15 more days till our trip to Disney :earsboy: :earsgirl:

One of our best dinner's during our recent trip. All the pasta dishes were yummy. The flatbread and salad were outstanding as were the desserts.

We really liked Mama Melrose. The Chicken Flatbread and the pasta dish were both wonderful. Good caesar salad, too!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Mama Melrose is one of our favorites. We pretty much eat there every trip, except for quick weekend trips when I have little to no park time.

Just went in October and really enjoyed it! Food and service were very good quality. Did the Fantasmic package as well (just let your server know if you're in a hurry). I ended up not being a big fan of Fantasmic (that's a whole other subject!) but was certainly glad we were able to walk right in and get a seat, instead of waiting in a long line.

We eat there every trip! It is our favorite of any place we've been to yet in the parks. Just went a few weeks ago....great food and great service.

Had a great meal on our honeymoon there. We thought the prices were reasonable for very large portions. We could have easily shared.

We like Mama Melrose's.....make sure you make a ressie! But as with every other restaurant inside and out...you are going to get some people who love it, and some people who don't! You have to try them for yourself and see if it suits your palate!

I'm so glad to read so many positive reviews on Mama Melrose. We are trying out Mama Melrose FDP in 27 days! We thought the food at our H & V FDP in August was awful (thought the buffet would be our best bet with 2 young boys), so we are really looking forward to trying out MM. The best thing we got at H & V was the Fantasmic voucher!

We enjoy Mama Melrose's as well. We have also discovered that you can get more typical dishes that aren't listed on the menu. You just have to ask your server and if they can accomidate you, they will.

OK, I suppose I will be in the minority on this one. We went w/the Fantasmic package this past June and it was one of our most disliked meals. I won't say we hated it but we really were greatly disappointed by the quality of the food and service. The worst part was that when I complained that my soft drink was flat the CM said I am surprised that you are the first one to complain about that because the machine has been broken all day! We had the latest ADR as possible for the Fantasmic package and I could not believe that they were serving yucky flat soda all day. They did begin to repair the soda machine while we were there. A much better Italian meal can be found at your local eatery so don't waste your time. The ambiance is nice but nothing unique such as Sci-Fi which we only visit because of that reason, certainly not the food, order drinks/snacks/dessert only. We selected the location because we wanted something a little more laid back and thought that H&V would be a little more active. I did not select HBD because for years and years we had dined at the local HBD and thought we would want to try something different. Next time we want the package we will select either one of those two.

I think the food is competent. While not the greatest Italian food I ever had. I would go again.

I agree that it is just ok. It probably depends on what kind of Italian food you are used to. If you think Olive Garden is the cat's meow then you will really enjoy MM.
I thought the menu was VERY limited and am glad to know that you can request things not on it. I had chicken parm there and it wasn't that flavorful (how do you mess that up?).

We didn't really care for Mama's either. Our server was GREAT -- her name was Holly -- we left her a really nice tip above and beyond the DP.

The food was just ok. We live in South Jersey, in a town that has over 4,000 Catholic families and Italian restaurants out the wazoo, so we're used to really good Italian food.

We wouldn't go again.

I think the food and service are hit and miss here. DH and I have eaten here twice and the food was nothing spectacular. I've read a lot of good reviews on the boards. That said, I've had family and friends who've eaten here and had terrible food and really bad service.

I dine solo, and eat here every trip. I have the same thing every time - the four cheese (actually three - minus the gorgonzolla) flatbread pizza and a Bellini or two. Yum! The service has always been super, too. I'll be dining there again in 39 days. Yippee!!!!

DizGal,

I order the exact same thing! I love the penne alla vodka...goes really well with those Bellini's!

Wendy - that is where we are from and I think it's the reason I didn't care for MM.
