Where we live, we have access to the best Italian food in the world...Via Napoli is the only restaurant in WDW to come close to what we are used to eating.

We just got back and did the Fantasmic Dining Package at Mama Melrose. It was good. I had the tomato and mozzerella appetizer and I really enjoyed it. My son had the minestrone and liked it.

For our entrees, I had the penne alla vodka with chicken and liked it a lot except for the chicken, which was dry. I would order it again without the chicken. My son enjoyed the spaghetti and meatballs.

The dessert sampler wasn't very good. I took a couple of bites of each and saved room instead for a treat from Writer's Stop. My son liked his spaghetti and meatballs cupcake, though.

I'm pretty sure that Italy has the best Italian food in the world, not NYC, but I will say that all of it is probably better than anything you'll find in Disney!

I've only had the flatbreads there but it was a very positive experience both times I've gone.

Have any recent Fantasmic package visitors been told that they can do flatbread for appetizers? I know it's been offered on and off, so I was wondering what the latest status might be.

I was just there last Sunday using the Fantasmic package. Yes it was explained to me that the flatbreads could be an appetizer, entree, or both. I had the rosemary chicken one with the steak entree.
