Which of these restaurants do you prefer for the Fantasmic Package?
Thanks!

Avoid MM.

Aside from a seperate menu for the package, they have received mostly bad reviews. My wife and I ate there 2 years ago and will not eat their again. We did do H&V as part of the dinner package and loved it. There were no restrictions and it was a full buffet.

Your other option albeit a little pricier would be Brown Derby which is sit down but also with no restrictions outside of the norm.

My friends & I did Hollywood & Vine and we loved it! Everything was fantastic and the price was good. Nobody found any reason to complain about the food either (and we had some picky people with us) my vote goes for that one:thumbsup2

We love Mama's and have lunch there every trip. Tried H&V once for breakfast and once for dinner over the years and wonder why to this day.

I actually see mostly positive reviews for Mama's.:confused3

There are no longer any restrictions on any Fantasmic package restaurant. You can order off the regular menu at both MM and Brown Derby.

I enjoyed both H&V and MM. I based my decisions on the money factor or that my girls were young. So we did H&V a couple of times when my girls were young. It's just fine for a buffet restaurant. Then when my girls were older we tried MM. We all enjoyed it as well.

If you are on the dining plan, then both MM and H&V are the same price-wise so if you don't have little ones or picky eaters, I'd go with MM.

Good luck deciding!

We haven't tried MM yet, (have ADR's for this Sept). We are looking forward to trying it..

On the other hand. We have tried H&V and for dinner, and did not enjoy it at all.. most of the tables had not been cleared, the food looked like it had been sitting in the servers all day, and getting our glasses refilled took forever even though the rest. was not busy. I acutally ate off the childrens menu because it looked fresher than the other.

We won't eat there again..JMOP...

We do MM for the FDP every trip. We have always had a great meal there. We have ADRs for August. I love the theming of MM, it takes you away from the hustle and bustle of the parks.

There used to be a seperate menu the package, but that has changed. You can order off the regular menu now. The big difference was that with the FDP you got a flatbread pizza, salad, entree, entree and dessert. Now (if on the DP) you chose one starter.

The big thing to consider is do you want table service or buffet? I've heard good reviews from both places, so it comes down to that.

We did MM last year on the package, and we're returning in about 3 weeks. Our food was excellent. Our service was good. You are not restricted on menu choices. Each person gets an appetizer, entree, dessert, and non-alcoholic beverage of their choice. You see all the menu options, and again, we really like it there. The atmosphere is also very relaxing and peaceful but kid-friendly at the same time.

We did H&V last back in December 2005 and loved it. We are doing MM this November and hope it is just as good.

H & V is the only restauarant in all of WDW that I will never return to.
We ate there on the package in April and everything was awful.
The food was dreadful, the tables around us were unbussed and dirty, the waitress was nearly invisible and rude when she was around and the Ladies Room was FILFTHY.
Never Again
JMHO

I hate to say it but for the past 6 years we've had Sunday dinner at MM. during our vacation. And we are not going back. Our reservations got entirely messed up. They wanted to seperate us from our kids. The food was only ok. Fantasmic menu. The server was rude, unattentive, brought apts, with in 5 min dropped off dinners. There was food everywhere, the table was crapped the meals weren't anywhere by the right person. Our server was soooooooooo bad. No drinks until half way through the meal after asking 4 or 5 times. It was a very expensive joke! The other staff members seemed almost as lame. We couldn't believe how down hill this place went. It was 1 of our favorites for years. The experience stands out it was so bad. We visit disney 3x a year and usually make reservations for at least 5 ouot of 7 nights. and we have never ran into anything like this before. We actaully became friendly with the previous manager because we were there so often he would reconize us. The new manager was not helpful, we weren't looking for any kind of refund just thought he should know. He didn't seem to care he justed stasted its been really busy. I noticed alot of the cm's at MGM were not nearly as friendly as in the past. Lost of foreign kids that didn't speak the best English. I was shocked to see cm's walk right over garbage. Previously it didn't matter if it was your job or not if you see something thats not supose to be there pick it up. It's too bad. The lady that hand paints the bulb next to MM was also rude enough to get my DH to ask her who her manager was. We are still Disney Nuts and are going back soon. I hope Disney is on top of help that takes away from there image.
