Mama Melrose or Hollywood and Vine??

We want to do the fantasmic! package thing and I was wondering if anyone had opinions on these 2 restaurants. Thanks so much!

I think most people (us included) prefer Mama Melrose. While buffets can be nice for variety, my family has never really enjoyed the food at H & V that much. It's also been loud and hectic when we've been there.

H & V is a Buffet, I hate having to get up and balance my kids and my own plates, not enjoyable.....
Mama's is good ! We ate their our last trip with the Fantasmic package. Nice decor, good server, food was quite yummy!
Remember to look for the hidden Mickeys !

We like Mama Melrose. It is not gourmet, but it is a step above Olive Garden in our opinion. After two consecutive bad experiences at H&V with bad food (when there was food), terrible service and dirty conditions, ,we won't go back.

Decide if you want the variety of a buffet or if the menu at Mama Melrose is good enough. You'll find posters who dislike both (as with any WDW restaurant) so choose what's best for your family.

We ate at H&V and were pleased. The place was nice and cool on a super hot WDW day, service was good and our 5yo loved his activity sheet; the only place where that seemed to really stand out to me.

Keep in mind no matter which you choose your ADR will likely be before 5pm for the pkg, so you may end up getting some snacks for the show or a bit after. We had popcorn and bottled water for the show that my mom got from the concession stand at the stadium.

I'll have to agree the food at Hollywood and vine was not much to be desired! We did the fantasmic pakage and we really disliked the food! We are trying Mama Melrose this time!
