Mama Melrose for June 5?

Just called to make a PS for Mama Melrose for June 5th at 6:30pm and the CM told me the latest PS is 5pm.....checked the official WDW website and it says MGM is opne until 10pm....plus I think it's an EMH night so it should be open until 1am.....anyone else have trouble getting later than 5pm PSs for June???? I know I've read on other posts that this can happen but it's so frustrating.....

Keep trying! Later times should open up 3-4 weeks in advance.

Really?? I've read mixed reviews but the menu on allears looks good....MGM is such a tough place to find good sit down choices...I'm really picky and the menu at Brown Derby does nothing for me....we've been to 50's a few times, and SciFi was not great when we went last....thought we'd try MM, but thanks for the heads up...might reconsider now......

FWIW, we love MM! In fact on our next trip(a long weekend) we only have 1 park day. I am making a special trip to MGM at dinner time just to eat there. This will be our 9th trip in a row dining there and we always enjoy it very much. Love the flat breads, chicken parm, and penne alla vodka!

Thanks! That's really good to hear....I think we're going to try it....just hoping that we can get a PS later than 5pm.....I'll take your advice and call back about a month before we leave....thanks again

Actually your lucky getting the 5pm, I may call back. We're trying for June 4th and the latest they have is 4. I too think it is crazy. now that June hours are out I'm hoping for something later too!

We'll be there in mid May and I was told the same thing, latest PS is 5:00 pm.
We've been to MM twice and enjoyed it both times. The only way to know if you'll like it is to try it. You'll obviously get different opinions here. Don't let that stop you from trying it.

Thanks...you're right...everybody has different likes and dislikes....we're very easy to please so unless the meal is really horrible, we'll be satisified

On a funny note, we once had a CM at Disney Dining tell us "Mama Melrose only serves dinner from 4:00-4:30". Obviously that was not the case and we called back 3 weeks in advance and got a later time.

We loved MM. We've been there three time in the last six months and are heading down this weekend with a trip to mgm and mm's. It's very consistant food and it's always hot and plenty of it. Please try the milk shakes. We get one and share it it's VERY large.

Thanks! Mmmmm...I love milkshakes We are definitely are going to try MM.....the menu really appeals to us....we love Italian food....now, I just have to wait and hope I can get a 6:30ish PS

I have been told (but cannot validate this or not) that Mama Melrose only serves dinner from 4:00 - 4:30 for the Fantasmic Dinner Package. In other words, if you have the Fantasmic Dinner Package, and want MM, you can only eat between 4 and 4:30. Maybe the CM you spoke to was thinking of this??

We have done the package at MM after 5:00 a couple times...including the time we were told they only serve until 4:30.

I just called yesterday to do my PS's and was hoping for a Fantasmic Dinner package reservation for June 7. I wanted Hollywood and Vine but they tried all three of the restaurants that do the package and nobody had any package priority seatings available - at any time!! So I don't know if this is just a busy time or what but I was bummed!

2tinkersmom, as mentioned above, try back 3-4 weeks in advance. They should have some openings then.
