Mama Melerose??

I have a question- our family was looking at the menu on allearsnet.com and we found things would could order, but I have a question about the steak. Does the steak come with a potato of some kind or something else? It just seemed like it was priced high or not coming with anything. And I don't know if anyone would have any pictures...but I would love to see what the food looks likes. :) Thanks!

We were just there Friday night and I was a bit disappointed. The server took our orders and the flatbread came out within a few minutes, then the salad...but before we could even eat either, our entrees were brought to the table. We literally had no room at the table. When I made a comment to the server that the food was brought too quickly, she apoligized and then disappeared for a very long time. From that point on, it took forever to get dessert and the bill. I would probably not go there again unless it was in connection with the Fantasmic Package.

We were there Friday also and got a different server from you. We had the same type of service. Our salad came before our appetizer. But we ended up eating both at the same time. Dinner came out quicklly just as we finished the flatbread and salad. We didn't mind because we still had some things we wanted to do before fantasmic and one of them closed at 6:30. We then waited a long time for desert and the bill and ended up not being able to get in the last two things we wanted to do. But we ended up needing the package because fantasmic was packed.

We just ate there this past week. I enjoyed the atmosphere. The service was just so so but I seem to have found that at most of the restaurants this trip. The food is good. It's not Italian food like I'm used to here in NJ, but I wasn't expecting that, so it was fine.
As for the desserts; I ordered the warm chocolate truffle cake with a hot latte. The latte was good but no where near hot when it got to the table. The cake was mushy and flavorless imho.
You'll never know if you like it until you try it!

We just made and ADR for here, so I'm looking forward to it. I'm sorry to ask so many questions, but I'm wondering if we could order an adult portion of either a calzone or a spaghetti. I know both things are on the children's menu, but I'm wondering if they could make us a bigger portion for a picky adult eater!

We were there at Easter time with an early reservation -- not for Fantasmic, we just wanted to eat early that night. The restaurant wasn't too busy and it looked really pretty with the coloured lights. We did feel that we were being rushed to clear the table quickly. First course and main course appeared within 5 minutes of each other, there was no bread offered (which in a nice Italian restaurant in England we would expect). The server looked a bit surprised when we asked for our main course to be held until we had finished our first course! It re-appeared very quickly -- before the first course dishes were removed!

All in all it didn't feel like a dining experience -- we were in the restaurant and out again in less than 40 minutes. No time to relax really and because the food was "dished out" at such a pace, we didn't really get to enjoy the flavours.

We're going to try Alfredo's during our next trip in December, although I have read on other threads that there are mixed reviews of the atmosphere there.

we were there about 2 weeks ago and loved it. fine dining it is not; but the food was very good with ample portions. our kids (both under 5) had plenty of dinner by sampling our appetizers and entrees. also our bread basket was refilled without request... we had wonderful service (think his name was Kevin)

I cant speak for the calzone, but yes, adults can get an adult order of spaghetti. :thumbsup2

I never complain about ANYTHING Disney, but I must say when I went here in April 2006 as part of the Fantasmic plan, it was one of the worst Disney experiences I have ever had. I ordered something like the Penne in the basil cream sauce, and it came out completely LOADED with onions, which were not at all mentioned on the menu. I actually got a copy of the menu from our server and checked to make sure. When the cook was approached about this, he simply stated that a lot of their stuff is made with onions implied and aren't stated on the menu, which i thought was hilarious.....what if someone has food allergies? The cook was actually stand-offish and a little rude.

I then tried some of my then pregnant wife's chicken parm, which was bland, dry, with very little flavor. I don't know if I was still rubbed the wrong way by my interaction with the chef that I soured on the place or what. Hopefully I just got them on a bad day.
