Maleficent, Vader & Captain Jack - Oh my!!!

I just wanted a share a couple things from our past weekend in the World! We love the characters & have been enough times to get most of the cooler characters, but this weekend was AWESOME! The highlight was Sunday night during EMH at the MK - it was probably 12:30-1:00 am and we had ridden all the rides we really wanted & were about to head out - but I drug DW back thru the Castle one last time to see which characters were out in Fantasyland - and who did we see?!? Maleficent herself! I was so awestruck that I couldn't even really speak to her!

DW had a Tinker Bell sweatshirt on & Maleficent commented that she had a "bug" on her and that she needed to swat it away!

Also on Sunday, we were at MGM about 2:00ish and walked by Tatooine Traders (my favorite WDW shop) on the way out - and Darth Vader was posing for pictures! He did not sign autographs;but, as I'm a child of the late 70's/early 80's and big Star Wars Nerd, the pic was more than enuff for me!

After MGM - we headed out to MK & caught the last Captain Jack's Pirate Tutorial! And we snagged a pic of the Captain (and his mate Mack). Again, no autographs - but the Pic was more than enuff for DW!

We also saw Launchpad at AK & Figment & Kim Possible with Ron Stoppable & Lightning with Mater - so if you are going soon, it may be a great time to invest in a bigger memory card and new Autograph book!

Great Pictures. I was very happy to get a pic & autograph with Maleficient last Halloween. I thought she only came out at MNSSHP so it is great to know she is around other times.

Awesome, I was lucky enough to see Chewie and an Ewok during a non-SWW trip a while back, from another geek it was a complete thrill!!!

Oh, YOU GOT TO SEE MALEFICENT!!!! And it wasn't halloween!!!! I could cry! She's my favorite and in all my years I've never seen her!!

My kids see her on tv or in pictures and say 'mom, there's your girl!'

My daughter (3) said when she grows up she wants to change her name to Maleficent! How cute is that! She must have her mom's great taste!

I'm so happy for you, though! That is awesome!

For the poster who asked, Launchpad is the duck who looks like a pilot. He is from Duck Tails cartoon and appeared in other cartoons, too. Sadly I heard many people mistaken him for Donald! Here's his photo:

He gets out here and there, but certainly does not make tons of appearances! I always run and meet him everytime I see him out!

I oh-so-wanted to get a pic with Launchpad b/c I had not seen him yet either - but we were already late & almost missed our Magical Express Bus back to the Airport! (Shucks - Stranded at WDW - how horrible! lol)

Kim & Ron have their own little spot at MGM on Mickey Ave now. It's right across from where Sorcerer Mickey is and next to what-used-to-be Donald's Trailer (There was a Little Einstein there this weekend) Ron was most excellent - he had the "Booyah" perfect!

Great pics! My son was so excited to see both the Darth Vader and Capt Jack pics. Maybe someday we'll get to see them in person. I'm not sure what DS would do...lol!

We went without the kids this past weekend - it was a "business trip" for the ECCU conference, so now when we take our family vacation at the beginning of August, if we can't find ALL the same characters (and more!) then I am probably going to be in BIG trouble! DS11's jaw dropped several times when we showed him pictures of where Mommy & Daddy went over the weekend! And Sleeping Beauty is DD4's favorite movie right now - so let's hope Maleficent continues to make appearances!
