When someone responds to one of my questions or vise versa, I always have a picture of that person in my head of being either a male or female. I've been wrong in some cases. So, lets do the male/female game.
I'll start: male :cool2:

LOL on this! I know what you mean...sometimes it's shocking to find out that someone is a guy when you thought he was female, or vice versa!

I'm MSDisney, so I guess that's pretty obvious...I've BEEN MsDisney since the old Prodigy Bulletin boards back in the early 90's...of course, I'm dating myself! :rolleyes2

For clarification, my husband, MIB999999 is definitely a guy! :smokin:

lol what a topic :) I understand what you mean. I play Internet spades and I have people refer to me as "he". Well... I am not, nor have I ever been a "HE". Who would have thought Disneyfreakk would be masculine?

Karen,
I was on the old *P Classic boards too! (I was LisaNJ back then.) So I guess I'm dated too.

I'm obviously female here as my name is in siggy. On some of the NY Yankees boards I frequent, I keep my gender a secret so I can debate with the guys without anyone knowing. Most guys think that women only like sports because they think the athletes are cute and don't respect their opinions as they would another guy. I've loved baseball since I was a little kid and truly watch (and enjoy discussing) the sport. I'm not checking out who's got the best butt!

ROFLMAO, Lisa! :rotfl2: Wasn't Prodigy like the original? I met a LOT of great people through the Disney boards there and one is one of my best friends to this day! (BushelBritches)

I'm laughing mainly about your sports "experiences" because I know EXACTLY what you mean! I don't post on any sports sites or anything, but when I was living in Florida, my ONLY way to see my Red Sox (ahem, yeah...imagine, we COULD have been friends! LOL) was to go out to watch them (much to my hubby's chagrin! :rolleyes2 ) and it usually took awhile to get a good debate going with anyone because I'm a chick. I once sat between two guys (through no fault or planning of my own) and they both happened to be Yankees fans (my favorite to spar with! :badpc: ) and one of them told the other one when I went to the restroom, "man, she's good...I don't stand a chance! (meaning on debating some controversies)" I took that as a HIGH compliment! Of course, he wouldn't have said it to ME! :rolleyes1

Honestly though, I'm not a psycho with it, following specific stats and all, but I DO like to know what's going on and I try to pay attention! I am currently suffering withdrawl because it's between football and baseball season, which is traditionally a very blue time for me! :guilty: I do NOT miss the Pats and I am quite happy watching any given pro game, for the most part!

Oh, and while we don't watch to check out anyone's cute butt, it is sort of a perk! :cheer2:
I have heard women say things like (to a foul ball WAY foul) "is that a homerun?" and to a field goal "TOUCHDOWN" so it's no wonder some of us aren't taken seriously!... :rolleyes1

Good to see another Prodigy dinosaur! I mentioned it because I'm sure there MUST be others so hopefully they will also be brave enough to come forward!

Karen,
I know there are definitely some other old Prodigy members because there was a thread on the CB about a year ago with a few who checked in. Of course, everyone had different names than they did way back when and now I can't remember who's who. (See, I really am getting senile!)

I think there might still be hope for us, even with you being part of Red Sox Nation...my husband and I are best friends with a couple from Medford. We've even gone to Yanks/Red Sox games together and lived to tell the tale!

BTW, I actually WON the DIS Fantasy Baseball league last season. The guys in the league (9 guys/3 women) never even congratulated me. I guess they couldn't take losing to a girl! :teeth:

Oh and tbird89, sorry for semi-hijacking your thread.

No problem!!! I love reading your responses.

LOL I have to confess, I thought so! But then, it took me FOREVER to realize your name is NOT Phantom! :rolleyes2 I still have trouble with it! :confused3

I think we all form some opinion and if we don't know, we go with a gender biased sort of guess...and with names like Freak and Phantom (or Phamton!) it's easy to think "guy" It's equally funny meeting people for the first time even if you KNOW their gender...it can be shocking! :teeth:
