For anyone who makes their own laundry detergent (preferably in liquid), have you ever tried the Meyers brand of Castile soap? Also, if you add essential oil, where do you get it from? I just made my first patch of liquid and it doesn't have much fragrance. I don't want a strong fragrance, just clean, and I have heard that tea tree oil is good for stains and antibacterial.

I have not made my own laundry detergent yet but also want to. However I am a daily user of essential oils. I only use Young Living Oils. They are true therapeutic grade oils. Most oils you will find on the market will say pure or natural, which MAY be true, but it will be in a synthetic carrier oil. Trus therapeutic grade oils will be ingestable. Here is a link to there sight. PM me if you have any questions.

I don't have Meyers here so I can't help there and I make powdered detergent so no essential oils. lol Sorry...wasn't much help was I? LOL

Smell does not clean your clothing. I didn't use a fragrance for the 2+ years I made my own laundry soap.

I don't use it anymore because my clothes got dingy. They were clean enough, but our whites were grey by the end of 2 years.

I do realize that. I don't wear perfume, so I want my cloths to have scent. I don't think there is anything better than fresh smelling cloths. Thank you for your help.
