First time on the QSDP or any DDP for that matter. In fact first tim staying on Disney property.

Trying to avoid the burger-and-fries trap and a such looking for variety and dare I say it, healthier options too.

Now being from England, the importance of a proper" breakfast means that we will use the CS facilities at POFQ regularly and a CS credit will be used for the breakfast platter (or similar) - we stil believe it to be the most important part of th day, and would not use a snack credit for something "to go".

That aside, any ideas of dining locations using the QSDP for a bit of variety, inc. dinners, pasta, pizza, salad, soups, sea food, steak, etc.

Part of our trip (14 nights) inc. 7 day car hire. We will use this time to visit restaurants out of pocket (buffet-style, steakhouse, seasfood etc.) so should have plenty of CS credits.

Just looking for ideas as it is overwhelming at first but i'm sure it will all work out.

Thanks

Steve

Actually, unless you are specifically looking, burgers and fries are there but not the norm. Think you should be able to find nearly everything on your list except steack on the QSDP. Check out the menus here and on Allears, our favorites include wolfgang puck express at DTD (a great spot for gormet CS, breakfast btw is FABULOUS!), most of the countries in Epcot, and great locations throughout the world. You will have no problem finding something to eat! ;)

Yes this was the type of thing, have already begun a list, Wolfgang Puck Express is on there:thumbsup2 also a few others such as Earl of Sandwich, and even a pasta-building station at POR - the twin resort I'm staying at.

My plan (lose plan) is to have around a dozen options so as to go with whatever the mood is on a given day.

When we were at WDW in Summer 2009, we were able to get a steak dinner with baked potato, mashed potato or french fries, dessert and all for one CS credit. :cool1:The steak was a ribeye, I think. It was very good. This was at Coronado Springs Resort - Pepper Market. :thumbsup2 It was only during the dinner hours. My husband and I liked it so much that we got the steak meal two different nights while we were staying there. They also had chicken or steak fajitas(spelling?) that you could get with vegetables for a counter service credit. Again, I think the fajitas might have just been at dinner.

You should go check out AllEarsnet.com for menus.

When we stayed at POR, we had some nice dinners in their food court. I especially loved the "make your own pasta" station. They also had dinner specials each night (like roast pork, turkey, etc.)

Thanks people :thumbsup2

Oh and what is included in the delightful-sounding Bounty Platter? - this sounds as close to our dear old full English breakfast. I notice a lot of sweet alternatives for breakfast, i'm very much a savoury person lol.

Good CS places for things other than burgers are -

DTD - Wolfgang Puck Express

Epcot - The different countries and Sunshine Seasons have some great options.

MK - Columbia Harbour House has a couple of good sandwiches and fried shrimp.

DHS - Starring Rolls has some good sandwiches during lunch time and Backlot Express has a good veggie sandwich.

AK - Yak and Yeti CS is a option for when you want to have something different than burgers.

Some of the resorts also have good CS options if you are in the mood to also see the different resorts. The Wilderness Lodge and Poly can be fun to visit and have a CS meal.

WPE does some great breakfast options. Doesn't open until 9am so better saved for a non park day.

MK -bakery does an egg/ham/chesse croissant and cake for a cs credit.

We ate at Cosmic Rays in MK a lot, b/c it had a great variety of QS options. Grilled Chicken, salads, wraps, yogurt, sandwiches- things that were not just pizza/burgers/chicken fingers. WIth little ones we spent the most time at MK, so Pinocchio's a few times in a week can get old!!

I did just what you are planning on doing. I read on here a few CS threads and collaborated a list of places we could go depending on where we were and what we were in the mood for. This is what I have found so far:

-Wolfgang Puck Express-Marketplace
-Earl of Sandwich

Magic Kingdom
-Main St Bakery
-Cosmic Rays-Tomorrow Land

Epcot
-Tangerine Cafe
-Sunshine Seasons

Animal Kingdom
-Flame Tree BBQ
-Yak and Yeti
