Making the most of QSDP....can't find the thread!

I kow there is a thread addressing this, I used it last year! But alas, I can't find it and I don't recall the details of what we did

Seems to me at bkfst. we got a meal, a juice (from the coolers in the food court) and were able to get one other thing, as a "meal credit" is supposed to be an entree, drink & dessert. I just can't recall if we got another drink (bottle of water) or a "dessert" (rice krispie treat). Does this sound familiar to anyone?

I know a bkfst. isn't the ideal use of a credit, but sometimes we really do want just a turkey leg for lunch, so it makes sense to use the meal at bkfst.

Also, we will nosh our way around lunch at Epcot F&W, so lunch credit needed there.

Any other tips would be appreciated. Thanks!

You used to be able to get a second beverage at breakfast, but no longer. Now just entree and 1 beverage, so you get a very poor value using Qs at breakfast. Turkey leg may be a better value of Qs.

We had the QSDP last year and loved it. I wish we could stay at a moderate and get the QSDP for free instead of the RDP. My girls are at the age where they enjoy the characters so we are ok with it this year. But for next year I think we will be booking a value again.

I would make sure you use your snacks up. That was our bigget issues last year we thought we would use them during f&W but it was so crowded beacuse we went right when it started that we had a few credits left over. We also paid OP for 2 TS meals and we ended up wasting 4 CS meal credits. I had though I planned better but my math was off somewhere. We used the meals from our left over credits to get the girls breakfest at pop. Dh and I don't do breakfest. Then some of our snacks went to breakfest for them also. My youngest was free last year and we still had left over snacks ect.

we order ice water (in cups) to drink, then order bottled water or gatorade as our drink with the meal ... saves using a snack credit on a drink later. At the food court, we do something similar: use refillable mugs and grab a bottled drink for later.

for our family of 4, we sometimes only order 3 meals ... sometimes that's more than enough food. if it isn't, then we order more.

for breakfast at the food court, there's usually some kind of platter that has a lot of food. that, plus a fruit bowl, can usually feed two in our family. (at Pop Century, the platter has scrambled eggs, potatoes, biscuit, cinnamon french toast sticks, sausage, and bacon)

at the resort food courts, the dessert & snack credits can be used at the bakery/ice cream window. sundaes, cheesecake, milkshakes ... yum!

must be a YMMV thing because we got one last fall using a CS credit -- got a turkey leg, bag of chips, drink, and some prepackaged dessert at the stand outside the American Adventure in Epcot.

Well, we never thought to try there! We always get our at the Lunching Pad, and they said no. We'll have to try it over at AA!

The extra breakfast drink is gone as of this year. The loss of a snack is next year.

You should be able to get a turkey leg as a qs meal, but not as a snack.
