Your AK day sounds great! The only things we haven't done was Flights of Wonder and Dinosaur ( Primeveal Whirl too as it was closed) so I know that must go on our list for next tiem.
I really enjoyed the Jungle trail & Forest Trail, and the Convesation Station. Sometimes a leaisurely stoll is just want you need after the hustle of the rest of the parks.

My must do's at Animal Kingdom are Expedition Everest and Dinosaur.

I love Kilimanjaro Safari and It's Tough to be a Bug too, but I don't always get to them each time.

I can't imagine going to AK and not doing a safari. It's one of my favorite attractions in WDW!

Ooo, can you be sure to take some pics of the Lightning McQueen topiary at F&G? I'm pretty sure I read that they were adding Pixar stuff. Howard would LOVE to see it!

Yes, I will take pictures of the Lightning McQueen topiary (and probably many others too!).

Did they get rid of evening EMH for Animal Kingdom? I thought I read something about it on the DIS, but I'm not sure.

Expedition Everest, Kilimanjaro Safari, and Dinosaur are my top 3, too. I never leave AK without doing those attractions or seeing It's A Bug's Life. Flights of Wonder has become a recent favorite of mine. I've seen it twice in a row now, it's really cool.

I really liked Flights of Wonder when we saw it. My sister has never seen it so I hope she's willing to try it!

The Flower & Garden festival does look pretty awesome! Perhaps *someday* I'll make it down to see it!

AK doesn't have PM EMH anymore. At All. It was just announced Tuesday, I think. Instead they will have AM EMH 2x per week.

I hope you get to F&GF some day. It is an awesome festival. Personally I think it's better than Food and Wine but then again I'm not the most adventurous eater...

OHHHHH no wonder they aren't having any when we're there. I didn't realize they were getting rid of them.

I just did my PM extra magic hours at AK update on my TR. It was a lot of fun being there after dark and we did EE back-to-back-to-back!

Our must do's are EE, FOTLK, Kilimanjaro Safaris, Kali River Rapids, Nemo and the Discovery Island Trails. If I get all those done I'm a happy camper and anything else is a bonus.

I'm so bummed that I'll never get to see the park after dark. Oh well.

I love AK too! I think it's my favorite park.

They have done away with all evening EMH at AK now....sorry!

My favorites are def EE, KS, and the walking trails. I hate it when people say AK is 'just a zoo'! But I've decided not to debate it with them because the fewer people there, the more fun I have!

Don't be sorry, I'm glad you guys all told me. I thought maybe I was just unlucky because on our other trips they've NEVER had them even before doing away with PM EMH.

haha, I hear ya on the "just a zoo" thing. Haven't they ever seen the "Nahtazu" ads? I loved those commercials.

Sounds like you're hitting all of the biggies at AK. I just love all of the little details scattered throughout the park. I love the Tree of Life trails and the details on the Tree of Life. I also think this park has some unique merchandise that is fun to browse. FOTLK is one of, if not the best show in Disney World!

I agree. And it's just more peaceful than the other parks. I was saying yesterday how I like the music too. Can't wait to be there!

Wow, that's cool you were able to do so much when you were at DAK. I really like the trails. Most of the time we zip right through them though because one of my sisters doesn't like them. haha

As of right now, I am going right after Christmas for winter break. However, my dad suggested changing that and going over Thanksgiving instead. So really I don't know anymore! I guess the most important thing is that I'll be going back, just not exactly sure when!

Yeah, we got more snow...I had heard it was supposed to be rain. It wasn't too much but it was really wet which made for a very sloppy drive to school this morning. Yuck!

Technically, that's not true. Remember right after New Year's Day 2008 when it got so cold? It was about 35 degrees out and you and I went over to visit the Christmas decorations at the Wilderness Lodge. There were people getting on a bus for EMH at DAK and I remember saying that it was going to feel like they were going up the real Everest.

Hooray for getting your ME tags!!! I can't believe our trips are coming up so soon. And lucky you, getting to go back a couple days after you come home. You should just do what my dad did a few years ago when he came down with me and my one sister over our fall break. He ended up staying a few extra days until my other sister, mom, and grandma came down for teacher's convention-he got to play a lot of golf. And you're going to WWOHP too, right? Jealous!!

That's crazy with the rental cars. I'm glad we can just do the ME and not have to worry about rental cars anymore.

Everyone tells me to just stay, but no one can do my job at work and I can get a weeks worth of work done in 2 days. "That is why I moderate the TR board on the DIS" but I've been really slacking lately with this job. Plus, my dh hates flying solo and going places solo. I'm usually the organized one, that takes a picture of his truck in the parking structure and keeps all the ressie numbers.

I ordered tickets Tuesday from UnderCover Tourist for Universal and they were in the mail yesterday. My son and his girlfriend are driving down next week and staying in her parents condo for the week. I technically could of been in Florida for 3 weeks. So I bought them their Universal tickets and mine. And, if I really wanted to be mean, I could of tagged along with Callie today, she is flying out to get on a cruise and she is staying in the Bahama's. (I don't think her friends would of liked me tagging along though.

Are you still planning on being at the MK on Thursday? I"ll probably be their early morning and late at nite. I wonder how crowded it will be with Mickey's Toon Town closed. Ever see the place packed with strollers? It wasn't pretty.

Sounds like a good AK plan! I haven't been on KRR in a while. I keep saying I'm going to go on but then nobody wants to or I don't want to get soaked even if it's the last ride of the day!

Oh, sooo jealous you are going to Universal. I know Emma would kill us but part of me wants to go again this trip. But that was an expensive day for us. Maybe once she's down there for the CP.

I honestly don't know if we'll be at the MK. We do have our Chef Mickey's breakfast that morning but MK also has EMH that day. We could go over there after since we'd be done probably by 9:00. I'll let you know once we decide for sure (can you tell how organized we are? ).

Well, today is the day part of my family decided to desert me for my birthday. haha, no, just kidding. Remember originally we were all going to go on this trip but then I was offered my job at school and our spring break isn't until later. As fun as it would be to go on my birthday I'm glad to have a job! They should be on their way right now and in a few short hours they'll be arriving in Disney! They're staying at the Beach Club Villas which I'm sure my mom will like since she enjoyed the Boardwalk so much. I told my sister to send me some pictures once they get there. If she does maybe I'll post some on here to help build the excitement, haha.

ANYWAYS...we leave 2 weeks from today! We still kind of have to decide what we're doing each day other than our first couple of days. Yes, we are on top of things. I've been reading how crazy busy it is which always freaks me out a little but I guess I'm not really too worried about it. It'll be interesting to hear what my dad has to say once they get to the parks.

Since I don't have much to report on for this trip atleast, how about future trips? My sister got her famous purple Disney folder the other day in the mail and she officially accepted her offer for the College Program. So now we're trying to decide when to go visit her. Dad has thrown around a lot of dates and now it's just a matter of picking which ones we want to do. I'll keep you posted once we know!

Hi again everyone! My parents and sister arrived safely! Mom called from the Magical Express bus and I could hear the driver in the background. He sounded like a good one. And I got my first picture from my sister...

Looks like a really nice day. Maybe they're on their way to Epcot? I really don't know but I'm sure I'll talk to them later. Just thought I'd share for everyone to get a little Disney fix.

Yup, I can't wait! I'm sure you are getting anxious too, especially with your test over with now.

Right now my dad was just playing around with all our DVC points. We've talked about how we want to stay at the Polynesian but I guess I don't really know how the CM discount works and how easy it is to get rooms. But you're right, it would be neat to stay somewhere else (mainly the Poly or the Grand Floridian, haha!).
