Making the DVC Rounds...A March '11 PTR: TR link added p. 30

Your DHS must do list looks a lot like mine usually does, minus AIE, but just for you I'm going to try it out, when I ever get back there that is!

I was already looking forward to Cars 2, now with the new Toy Story short I'm really excited for it!

YAY! Your trip is coming up soon! Haha, I'm jealous even though I just got back. I do NOT want to go back to work. I don't remember how to do work!!! We actually had stuff to do every day even if it was just watching a movie. Normally when I'm with my parents, I get a little bit of stuff done. NONE of that happened this time!

I find it hilarious that you're so in to TOT but won't try M:S! I'm the opposite...almost. I love M:S but I tried TOT once and was so shaken up I don't really have any desire to try it again. Although if I was there with someone who wanted to ride it, I might consider it.

I think this is going to be my last Mickey Monitor (atleast for a while) :sad2:. Since our next planned trip isn't until December it doesn't make sense to renew it. Unless my sister gets into the college program...

It should be my last one for a while too. :sad1: My pass expired Feb 1 and like you, it doesn't make any sense to renew until my next trip.

Wow, only 1 more month! That got here fast! That means when you are on your trip, I'll be getting ready to make my ADR's! I hope this month goes by fast! :woohoo: :yay:

Your DHS plans look great! I really have to try the Animation Academy, it looks so cute! Hope you get to ride TSM a few times! :thumbsup2

The DHS plans look good! Going to DHS on our second morning is what I was thinking we should do, as well. So that's something we agree on. And we've definitely got to hit those major attractions. Because it worked out well in August, riding TSM first and trying to get a FP after is a good plan. As is going to ToT second, followed by single riders at RnRC.

In terms of shows and lesser attractions, obviously AIE is a must. As is the Animation Academy! I can't believe how obsessed with that we've become so quickly. It's just so much fun! I hope we get Brian as an instructor again - he was awesome! I also want to do the Great Movie Ride, since as you said, we didn't get to it in August. I like the idea of asking about the cowboy scene. According to TinkerbellLuvr, it pays to ask! We've also definitely got to try to get to Fantasmic, since we missed it in August (stupid cancellation :sad2:). I'd be good with trying to go Sunday night, if that's what you want to do. I'm excited to see the new Pixar parade, and the Disney Channel show, so I'm up for doing both of those!

So anyway, I don't really have anything significant to add. You basically already mentioned everything. Although, since it's come up in talking about the EPCOT plans, I think we should try to do some more character meet and greets here. I don't know how serious you were, but you mentioned looking for Darth Vader. I think that would be cool. I was also interested in seeing if Mike and Sulley are still around. I don't know if they are, but we should see. And if they're not, maybe we could go to that place where Woody and Buzz are by TSM. (I really don't know why I'm obsessed with looking for characters this trip! I guess I just really want more pictures, and pictures with characters are some of the most fun!)

Well, I guess that's it! Only 26 days left! :cool1:

We did the stampde to TSM both mornings and racked up 4 rides in 2 days! I thought the Pixar Parade was great. Kadence thought the Disney Channel Rocks was awesome, she was dancing along and singing! Didn't hit Annimation Class, but hoping to in Sept!

Yeah, it really helps getting to TSM right away and riding first. The wait for a fastpass also kind of dies down.

great update and yay for under a month!!!!

You can request at GMR. Just go up to the CM at the door and ask if the cowboy scene is running. They will say yes or no. If they say yes, they will probably tell you to ask the ride loader (the person that stands at the double doors in the movie room) and you will either be put on the cowboy car or you will have to wait until the next group of cars come and they will put you on the next one :) My friend wanted to do it in Oct and it worked out great! We did it again in Dec and it worked great too! I would assume that March + Spring Break = crowds, they should be running it!

PS.. I finally got my Mickey Mail from the AP!!! I'm going to post pics in my update tomorrow. Did you check out the new resort mugs, I'm in love!

Thanks for the info on the GMR! I might have to ask then seeing as we're always on the gangster one.

Yay for finally getting your Mickey Monitor!

Sounds like great times at DHS! Do you watch any of the other shows besides AIE? I still haven't seen LMA. It always seems to show too late in the day.

We have seen all of the other shows at some point but we don't do them regularly. I'm hoping to see maybe LMA or Indiana Jones. We'll see.

Can't believe how close your trip is:goodvibes I love when the Mickey Mail arrives...it says to me "yup, you're really going".!!

I can't believe it's already March!

Your DHS favorites are my favorites! I also love Muppets 3-D. Where are you guys going to eat that day?

Ahh yes, I forgot about Muppet Vision. Another one we don't always do.

That is too funny because we are going on the Disney Dream on 3/26 to celebrate my 30 birthday. My actually birthday is April 16 but it was too close to Easter and flights were alot of money..
Have a great trip and Happy Birthday!!!

So jealous you're going on a cruise! That'll be awesome. My sister's birthday is actually April 17 so this trip is kind of in between both our birthdays. haha

Your DHS must do list looks a lot like mine usually does, minus AIE, but just for you I'm going to try it out, when I ever get back there that is!

I was already looking forward to Cars 2, now with the new Toy Story short I'm really excited for it!

LOL, as I keep saying, AIE is totally worth trying atleast once. :thumbsup2

There is going to be a second Toy Story short with the new Muppet movie too!

I hear ya on going back to work. I guess that's the good thing about us coming home on Saturday. Atleast I'll have a day at home before going back to school so I can let reality sink in again.

I find it hilarious that you're so in to TOT but won't try M:S! I'm the opposite...almost. I love M:S but I tried TOT once and was so shaken up I don't really have any desire to try it again. Although if I was there with someone who wanted to ride it, I might consider it.

It should be my last one for a while too. :sad1: My pass expired Feb 1 and like you, it doesn't make any sense to renew until my next trip.

haha, yeah, I just do not like motion simulators at all. The spinning makes me kind of nervous on M:S. If I do decide to try it I'm going for the wimp side. TOT, on the other hand, is awesome! I was terrified the first time I did it but the more I rode the more I loved it!

Boo for no AP. :sad2:

Wow, only 1 more month! That got here fast! That means when you are on your trip, I'll be getting ready to make my ADR's! I hope this month goes by fast! :woohoo: :yay:

haha, yay for getting to make ADRs soon!

Yes, the animation academy is so much fun. Hopefully we'll be able to do it more than once on this trip like we did in August and April.

The DHS plans look good! Going to DHS on our second morning is what I was thinking we should do, as well. So that's something we agree on. And we've definitely got to hit those major attractions. Well, I guess that's it! Only 26 days left! :cool1:

Maybe we could just stay at DHS then on Monday to see the Pixar Pals parade. That's kind of what me and dad did in April so we could see Block Party Bash. And I know you don't want to but part of me still wants to go to the Braves game that day too.

I was serious about meeting Darth Vader. It's someone we haven't ever met before. haha

Can't believe it's March already!

We're going to Disney World THIS MONTH!!!

:dance3::dance3::dance3:

Time to start watching all of the Travel Channel shows we have recorded...hehe :thumbsup2

Hi everyone!

Well today is turning out to be a very Disney day (sort of, LOL). As I mentioned earlier this morning we can finally say we're going to Disney World this month. That's the first bit of good news.

The second we just got a little while ago. I'm sure she's going to love me posting this all over the place (if you're my friend on facebook you might already know what I'm talking about, haha) but I must admit I am a proud sister and have to brag a little!

My sister got accepted into the College Program!!!

:banana::dance3::yay::woohoo::wizard::worship::grouphug::cheer2:princess:

It's so weird, I can say my sister is going to be a Disney World cast member!!!!! (granted she doesn't decline her offer but I don't think that is going to happen seeing as this was the 2nd time she applied!).

Is it bad I'm already having fantasies of staying at the Polynesian with a cast member discount? :rolleyes1 haha

Anyway, just had to share!

Oh, and 25 days until we leave. ;)

Yay that's so exciting!! I saw on FB that you said she's going to be working quick service-perhaps we'll see her when we go in October! And also yay for 25 days!!!

Congrats to your sister!!!!!! That's such great news! I'd be having the same daydreams of staying at the Poly, haha.

I can't wait to hear cast member and cast member sister stories! Hehe.

Congrats to your sister! I did the CP the summer after I graduated college, at 22 years old. Best decision of my life. I'm 30 now and still look back on those days with such great memories. Can't wait to find out where she will be working - what are her top pics? attractions? food/bev? merch?

And yay - we are both going to Disney this month! :woohoo:

congrats to sis again! Now the waiting game begins to see where she will be working at!!!!!! I wish I would have stayed at Poly when I had my CM discount but I did stay at WL, AKL, and Yacht Club a bunch of times so I can't complain since it always seemed that even though it was a discount it was still expensive! Just wait till they have 60% off rooms for CM plus DDP for $25.99!!!
