Hi all, :)

Not long now to our 1st holiday to DW we cant wait :cool1:

Just a quick one we are staying at POP and i was wondering when is best to call and ask for our room requests, ie High Level Room, 60's Building Etc....
Or is best to fax or call POP direct i saw a post about this on the US Forum.
What have you all done before and did it work for you ?

Cheers Guys:thumbsup2

Hi, I bet you can't wait to get to Disney! :goodvibes

We stayed at Pop in May '05 and didn't really mind where our room was. However, on arrival the lady at check-in asked us which block we would prefer so we said 50's overlooking the lake (ended up on 3rd floor, a nice view! and we could see the fireworks at Epcot & MK too). Whether that was down to the time of year or how full they were at that time I don't know.

Have a great holiday :thumbsup2

Yep you bet we are :goodvibes

That is exactly what we would like to, i did a bit of research on the US forums and they all said 50's or 60's 3rd floor room is the best for POP, also our DD is only 3 so she will need her beauty sleep at night so a 3rd floor room would help with the noise....!

:cool1:

Hi,

When I have put requests through with Virgin I alwas phone direct to the hotel also. I have been lucky so far. We have stayed at the POP and I agree the third floor is definatley less noisy. Hope you have a lovely holiday!:cutie:

How far in advance should your ring the hotel with your request? - and any thoughts on which building/floor is best?

hI i been told in POP 50's or 60's on the 3rd level is about as good as it gets according to some posts i have been reading on the US forum,

I have called DW and asked them for some room requests now, the CM said she will note them on the system for me but cant guarantee them, ( which i havent got a problem with),
But on the US Boards them seem to think it is better to fax your Hotel direct, ie POP,and put the requests in writing to them on a fax.??? Has anybody done this do you think it would help ??

Cheers Guys...

The two times we have stayed at POR we have faxed a few days before we arrive and politely requested a certain building. It seemed to work as we got what we wanted both times (Building 14 in Aligator Bayou).

Given the number of rooms they must get so many requests for certain buildings, floors or actual room numbers it must be a nightmare for the CMs to wade through all the requests, so perhaps they look out for the ones where people have a special event while in WDW (birthday, aniversary), or perhaps a specific medical reason for the request, or perhaps they just pick a few at random :confused3

Hi there, I have booked a room at WDW Dolphin through the Walt Disney Travel Co UK and when I phoned them yesterday to ask about room requests they said to contact hotel direct but if I was staying in a Disney hotel then they could help me out with prices for upgrades etc. My question is do I email the hotel or do I fax them? Any suggestions;)

hi last year i sent fax four days before check in and we
got exactly wot we asked for, here is a copy of wot i sent

A big hello from Scotland
Our first magical Disney vacation is finally (almost!) here and I wanted to see if you could possibly accommodate our room requests for August 25th to 8th September. We have already booked a preferred room, but we would all really appreciate if at all possible, if you could make it one of the new nemo rooms in Martinique, with a lake view (if thats not pushing it a bit) on ground floor. Thank you in advance for any help you can give us in making our first visit wonderful and hoping you spread a little pixie dust our way !!
