We check into HRH Sunday. My DH needs to call to add our Loews number to our reservation. He's also planning to have them note a floor & view request. When should he call, & who should he ask to speak to? Is there anything else he should mention? We've never made any specific requests, but it seems to work well for some of you. :teeth: TIA :)

Did you get an upgrade? Whats your Loews status? You could request a specific room # if you want. I know some arrange the upgrade before checking in but I never have. I think there has only been a couple times we didnt get upgraded. What do you have booked?

We booked a PV, pet room. I don't think there's anywhere to be upgraded to, since we'll be bringing Molly :dog:. :teeth: I've asked him to request a room on the 5th floor, with a theme park view. Is that what we should be asking for? We've always lucked out & gotten great views, but I know our luck can't hold forever. I've decided it's time to be a little more proactive. Watch this be the trip that we get the horrible view. :rolleyes1 I'm not really as concerned with the particular view, as I am with the floor though. It doesn't make a lot of sense to pay extra for a PV & be on the 1st floor looking at bushes. :p

We've never gotten credit for any of our stays, because we book using the FL Res. rate. Thanks to this board, I now know that other FL Residents have been receiving credit. That's the biggest reason he's calling. Just to make sure they have our Loew's 1st info. on the ressie. ;)

You GO! and be proactive!!! I read the "sticky" at the top of the forum about room requests, and when we checked into RPR, i noticed the rep was starting to write something that looked like a room number (I'm guessing with a view of I-4!) Anyway, after some silence and her clacking on her keyboard, I said, "I was hoping for room 1733?" After finding out that wasn't available, I said, "It's okay if that's not available, so my second choice would be 1633. If THAT is not available, my next choice would be any odd numbered room between 1733-1718." I could tell she wasn't "thrilled" I was making requests (and making her work harder to spot a room for me that I was requesting), but, i didn't care cuz it was my hard earned money I saved a year for and I was gettin' picky! :teeth: Finally, she got me room 1729 (2 rooms down from 1733) and she was prolly happy I was finally satifsfied! I did add this room request to my original ressie, and faxed it 3 months in advance and then again a week in advance. She informed me that fax went to the business center and she didn't have any record of my 2 faxes :sad2: . (Luckily, i added to my original and i think i even called somewhere in there too?) so, your money spends like anyone else's....get picky and demand the view you want.......go for it! worst case scenario, crappy view, but not for lack of trying!! :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 Ok, I want to be proactive too!!! Where, who, when should I call, (I don't have access to a fax). I will be staying at RPR club level and I'm with you Bubba's mom...this is truly hard earned money, much planning, etc. so I do not want a view of I-4 !!!!

We do have a fax machine, but I think it's too late for us to go that route. That's a good thing!!! party: So, who does he need to speak to, when he calls? Also, any suggestions for a particular area for a Pool View room on the 5th floor @ HRH? Thanks again :)

Are the room numbers you mentioned garden or pool view rooms?

Those rooms have a view of the water way and IOA. The are close to the stairway that takes you right out onto the walking path to City Walk.

Here is a picture from our door in our room. Tower 1, 7th floor, = 1729 (the blue dot is our room). These room numbers have IOA view: ODD numbers between 1718-1733(1733 is 2 down from us on the end); and EVEN numbers between 1740-1754....(wide "top" of the "Y")
Pool view would be opposite (across hall) from us (that part of the "Y"...)EVEN numbers 1700-1732 (I believe).
The water/road view would be ODD 1701-1755 (I think).
Our room is where the blue dot is, and that was a perfect view of IOA.....if you explain you want a park view, I'm sure they won't give you a pool or I-4 view. I called the resort directly but somebody also posted an 800 number to call. I wasn't taking a chance, I called directly and just told whoever answered I wanted to confirm my ressie.
