Making reservations?

We closed last week, and expect to be in the system this week. I was hoping to get some answers before I called member services and act like a total newbie!

The contract we purchased has both banked points and 2004 points coming on in October. W'd like to go on vacation in November. I guess i just wanted to check whether we can make our reservations now, even though our points don't come on until October. I always assumed you could make the reservations, the points just had to be there when you used them. Was that a silly assumption to make?????

Your assumtion is correct. It doesn't matter at all whether you have them now, as long as you will have them for when the reservation is scheduled. That is one of the biggest misconceptions by many newcomers and you already have it figured out.
