Making Reservations for a Grand Gathering

How does one go about making reservations for 18 people?? I want to make several room reservations for the same time period. Will I have to put the reservations in their name? Can I change them around if they decide to group with other family members? My family is very poor about planning and it will all be left up to me! I've picked May 2014 as my target so I have a little time to plan a strategy in advance

My understanding is that Grand Gatherings are no longer.

You will need to come up with a plan and make the reservations online, via a phone call or via the contact form on the member website.

I would set the plan in stone. Making changes often results in errors and problems.

You will be able to change the names on the reservations after booking. Best wishes as you make your plans. We've never had 18 people, 13 was our max and everything went very well. It was a celebration for Mom's 85th party. Everyone enjoys the pictures and memories from that trip.

If they change the names later, the lead names will be affected, possibly even the OP's. DME sometimes mails the packet to the leads, sometimes to the member for all reservations pending check in.

This is a known software issue.

No, each will need a different lead on the reservation. And I agree on the comment regarding the lead on the reservation changing if you change the guests in the room. On our last reservation, our 19 yr old son suddenly became the lead when I put our two friends in for ME. So everything had his name on it, including the parking pass and the ME package.

Hopefully you won't get stuck with reservations that are not needed. Especially based on your comment:
