Making Payments BRP Via Phone?

just wanted to check to see if anyone has been doing this? I called yesterday and was told that I can make payments over the phone, but I did read here somewhere, that the monies get credited back to your card? I asked about this when I called yesterday, they said I could do this..so I wanted to know If anyone else is ding this?

I called a few weeks ago and asked to make a payment and was told it was not possible to do so. Let me know if you make one and if they keep it. I would love to pay my bill off before I arrive in November. Edited to add: I just called Disney to see if the rules have changed for pre-payment of best rate rooms and was told no. You have to pay when you arrive. :rolleyes:

I've also made several calls down there hoping the rules would change. My only complaint with the BRP is that they refuse to let you pay it off in advance. I would like to pay it off using my Disney VISA card, then pay off the VISA between now and then, so I'd have a zero balance on my card when I check in. We're doing a split stay in Dec, so I was required to make two deposits, however I hate still owing for 7 nights.
 
I have to agree - I can't see why this is a rule - that this particular reservation has to be paid off at Disney??? Hope they come to their senses.

I made a payment to pay it in full, they took it over the phone, a few days later it was credited back to me (they only kept original deposit). I have to pay upon arrival.
 
ok, so my only other option I guess will to be paying off my credit card and just using that!

they are probaly doing this to prevent having to do refunds if people cancel. it must save so much papar work! It stinks thou... :confused3

payments and online bookings

Unfortunately some CMs will still take the payment (because the system will let them) but it gets credited back to your card. Then your money is tied up for 2 weeks (generally) with the credit card company.

The online ROOM only reservations (the confirmations for these generally start with an R before the number) do not allow for more payments than the original deposit. You have to pay the balance of these when you check in at the resort. The only time you can make additional payments is if you change the reservation to another resort and the nightly rate is higher and it requires an additional deposit.
