Has anyone really made any money taking the on line surveys? I mean if you do it for a couple of hours a day do you know if you could make an extra $100 or so a week? Anyone have any other ideas about making extra money on line? I don't drive so I can't do those in store pitches and am looking for work on line. Thank you all in advance for any help or ideas.

I'm a member of Pinecone research. They pay $5 for every survey you take. Not a lot of money but the surveys only take 15-20 minutes.

ETA: I should have mentioned that you have to be invited to join Pinecone. My friend was a memeber and sent me an invitation to join a few years ago.

So far this year I have made 156.28 doing surveys. I do them EVERYDAY, very few pay, and those that do pay small amounts and it takes a long time to cash out. I have been doing them for 3 years, I bet I haven't made 500 in total. So don't believe everything you read about making hundreds every month. I have looked into many many many sites, and most of them don't pay, they just enter you into contest to win money each month. I won $100 last year, nothing else.

Not sure if they talk about survey opportunities--but they talk about lots of ways to make money at home that are legitimate.
One of the "legitimate" jobs on this site is phone sex operator!
I do surveys for a couple of sites but mostly you get points that can be redeemed for items. Occasionally there's a survey that will pay $4-$8.

so much for your help. I am really looking for something where I can make about $200 a month at home. I appreciate all your responses.

My DH does surveys but the most he's ever gotten for one was $25 and those don't happen very often. Most of them pay between $5-10 for each survey. I have no idea how often they ask him to do them...

Between the reward programs I do and surveys, I average between $80 and $100 a month. They take a lot of time but I've been doing them so long I'm use to it.

Don't you know you got my curiousity up and I have to go look now. :rotfl2:

I don't know about surveys, but Brandie, that picture of your niece is absolutely gorgeous! She is just beautiful. :)

I make 30-40 dollars a month taking surveys. And then I do reward programs as well and make a decent chunk of change through them. I don't see how you can make 100 dollars a week taking surveys. I belong to tons of companies but I never make that much a week.

Well I do make decent money doing online surveys I consider it vacation savings money not my full time income!

I know this won't apply to many people, but it may help somebody. If any of you are physicians or are married to physicians, there are tons of online survey opportunites for doctors that pay quite well. Most pay at the rate of $100/hour, and it often works out higher if you get through the survey quicker than they estimate. I only do a fraction of the ones I get invited to do but still make a couple thousand each year doing them.

:sunny: My Dh and I are signed up with a couple of marketing companies. You have to go to their offices and I think you can do only 1 every 6 months but they pay about $100 to $125.00 cash for a couple of hours of your opinion. You have to qualify for the study (use whatever product or visit the store that is paying for the study) and that can be hit or miss also. Around here (Southern Calif) we have Fieldworks and Trotta and Assoc. If it's available near you it would be worth it to sign up so they can call if they think you may qualify for a study. Thank you!

Disneysteve mentioned the ones for doctors. Same for nurses and I'm a medical office billing manager and get invites all the time. They are for reimbursements and how we order certain injectables. If you work in a medical office, ask the pharm reps-- they usually know. That is how I got started doing some of these. I've gotten phone cards, gift cards, and checks for in the $25-75 range.

Saltyjim here. My kid got into filling out the surveys and tried to get me to do it too. I'm not too good on the computer yet though, but he says it's really easy. This is the link he gave me:

He does well enough that he will not need a job this summer and he says he will have enough saved up for the car he wants.

Good luck!
Salty Jim
