Making Her Wishes Come True: Surprise Proposal Trip!

Do it while you can! That's what we are doing. Splurging on the little things because who knows when we will come back.

In 2 weeks it will almost be August and then you can start taking about your hint ideas with us and also tell us Hannah's reaction to your hints! You can do it :)

Yea, I really had no idea that we would be on our way back so soon after our last trip and I know this time it will definitely be the last time for awhile due to us wanting to diversify our vacations.

MAGIC KINGDOM/EPCOT/VIA NAPOLI

It’ll be EMH time at Magic Kingdom! This is seriously one of my favorite times of any visit. Getting to go inside Magic Kingdom before the majority of people and just absolutely getting stuff done. This will be our last day to really spend time in this park, at least that’s planned, for the trip. First up will be Enchanted Tales with Belle as I know that will probably be the hottest ticket in the park, on our way there though we might stop at Space Mountain and grab a FP so that when we get done we can head right over there and ride it.
We usually do a pretty good job of attacking the major rides during EMH so I’m expecting we should be done with the Three Mountains either as EMH are ending or before. After we get those out of the way the plan will be to get Haunted Mansion in and then do re-rides on things that we have already hit either Tuesday or this day. Hopefully we’ll have enough time to relax and enjoy the park for a bit before it’s time to leave and go grab lunch in Epcot. The plan will be to leave Magic Kingdom about the same time we left Epcot on Tuesday (About 11a-12p).

Plan of attack for Epcot on this day will be to hit the World Showcase. We will need to find some place to hit up for lunch and I have a feeling we may end up in Japan for quick service sushi. Sushi is one of Hannah’s favorite foods and she’s really turned me on to it in the last few months or so. YUM!
The rest of the time will be spent walking around the showcase exploring the countries. I have a feeling this won’t take us the whole 9 hours we will have between lunch and Illuminations (If we didn’t do it already) so there is a good chance that we will end up going back to Future World to ride a ride or two that we may have missed on Tuesday or re-riding something that we feel the itch to. There is a very good chance that we will partake in Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure. Our last visit we had some time to kill and decided to do the Kim Possible version of this and loved it, so I’m expecting that this version should be just as fun but with new characters. It’s funny that two 20 (some) year olds can have fun doing something that’s so silly.

ViaNapoli05.jpg

Dinner this night is at 6:20p at Via Napoli. This is probably the dinner I’m most looking forward to. I just love it here. The pizza is just divine and the rest of the food is pretty darn good as well. This is probably the reason why I’m the most excited for it because I know what’s coming which isn’t the case with the other ones which will be my first time dinning at those. I talked up this restaurant pretty much every chance I got to Hannah on our last visit. We even dinned at the main Italy restaurant for our Candlelight Processional package and while we were there I told her about how next time we would have to go to Via Napoli instead.

We should be done with dinner in plenty of time to maybe ride another ride or explore another country some more if we want before Illuminations (if we haven’t seen it yet) OR if we have seen Illuminations and not Fantasmic I may suggest we head over there to try and catch it so that we don’t have to stress about catching it on the last day. This may be tough though because we would have to Monorail back to TTC and then drive over to Hollywood Studios, although we COULD just walk from Epcot to Hollywood Studios, but this may make it difficult to get back to our car.

I really want to try Via Napoli as well....the pizza looks outstanding! I got my monthly mousesaver newsletter and it says that the CG will be ready by 8/24!!! and that they will be taking reservations soon :cool1: thought id let you know :thumbsup2

Just caught back up, lots of great plans. :thumbsup2

Glad you think they look good. :D

Via Napoli is easily my favorite place to eat in all of WDW. I just love pizza and Italian food that much.

Man, now I don't know if I want to change our reservation for that night or not. I'm very conflicted! :confused3

Great plans!
Hmmmm, CG or VN???
You've got some tough decisions to make. :upsidedow
Personally, I think I'd keep VN. First, you love it. Second, as you already said, the rest of your trip will be all new locations, so it will be nice to have at least one tried and true meal on your list.
And CG can be at the top of your list for your next trip.

I know what you mean about doing some other travels. DH really wants to go to the DC area and visit all the historical sites, museums, etc. We'll probably make that our first "empty nest" vacation because the kids have already been (8th grade school trip), so we could have an adults getaway.
I would like to take Matt (and the kids) out west, they've never been to the Grand Canyon or Pikes Peak or the Cliff Dwellings, etc., etc., etc. There is so much to see and do that we haven't gotten to yet, and our kids are growing up fast. :sad1:

Can't wait to hear about your last day. And, don't fret about running out of posts, you're going to run out of time too. Trust me. I've completely given up posting pictures. I just can't seem to find the time for anything anymore. :rotfl: I console myself with the promise to do better on the final Trip Report. (And we expect you to do the same. Insert stern teacher look here. ;))

Well if I decide to go with California Grill it would take place of Be Our Guest on our second night. So, it would be trading a new for a new. California Grill is what I wanted to get originally vs Be Our Guest something that I've really started to like the idea of eating there. She really loves sushi, but she also really loves Beauty and the Beast. Plus we're already having French Cuisine at Chefs de France vs. it would be cool to be leaving the park during MNSSHP when we didn't buy a ticket to get in.

GAHHHH! :scared1:

Hannah has been out West, and we're going out West again this Winter, but she has always flown over the middle so that's something I really want her to experience. I really want her to see Yellowstone in all it's glory.

I do have a bit of a story to tell. Last night I made her dinner and brought home a bottle of wine and while we were eating I asked her to sign a form that I had covered up everything but the "Student Signature" part. It's a time off request form for her school requesting the dates that we need off for the trip and I got her to sign it without giving away ANYTHING! She didn't see the dates, she didn't even know what kind of form it was. :hyper: I'm mailing that off to her school today so I know it will be approved by the time she even starts getting hints in about two weeks or so.

I think I would go with CG. You could always do BOG for lunch if you wanted too.

I've never been out west either...living in the northeast prevents me because I don't think I can do a 6 hour plane ride lol. Ill stick to 3 hours to Florida.

Awesome!! Glad the first part went off smoothly. Did she ask what she was signing? Because I know I would :)

That's a good point. I guess I should start checking and making calls to see if they have openings here in a week or so? The good news is that everyone will still think it's closed so getting a ressie shouldn't be too hard I wouldn't think.

I took a plane ride to Vegas once. That was pretty boring, let me tell you. But I did get a LOT of reading done. :rotfl:

Oh she asked and then just seemed to let it go. However, this morning she has started with a renewed sense of trying to figure it out. She's going through the student handbook to see if she can find out what form she was signing, which is bad, because it's in there. So, I'm trying to plant a see of doubt in her mind saying, "How do you know I even sent it? How do you know there was anything else written on it? I may be just trying to send you down a wrong path." I'm not sure how much of that she's buying, but even if she figures out what form it is.... she won't know the dates, she'll just know something is coming during the school year.

That's a good idea to do BoG at lunch. That does sound like the best of all worlds, if you can get a CG reservation! If not, console yourself with your sneak peak at MNSSHP. Good Luck reservation hunting!

:rotfl2: I was just going to comment, wow, your secret keeping is way to easy... seriously, she didn't even ask what the form was? You lucky duck....
Then I read that second post and she's sleuthing through the handbook. lol. That's hilarious. Maybe you should burn it. :rotfl: Ooops, I dropped a lit match onto your handbook. Too bad, so sad. :lmao:

Only a couple more weeks to go before she knows "something" I up anyway! You can do it!

I'm really resisting the change from BOG to CG. I don't know why but I've been at peace with the fact that I couldn't get CG for such a long time that I'm almost having Stockholm Syndrome with my BOG reservation. I'm very adverse to any change so even thought I've always really wanted CG I can't make up my mind on whether I want to go through with it or not.

All throughout our relationship I've done such a horrible job at keeping secrets that when I've been able to hold onto this one for so long she's starting to get antsy. She knows it's coming and has known for probably a few months that it's only a matter of time, so she's been trying to get it out of me for almost as long. I think she can sense that it's getting close. The problem with making her handbook "disappear" is that it's online in pdf format, so I can't really do that. :rotfl:

So.... I just dodged a MAJOR bullet... I think. I just had a very frightening text conversation with Hannah that went like this:

---------------------

Hannah: You know what I just thought of muahahahahahaha!!!

Hannah: You're taking me out of school aren't you....thats what you had to send the papers for......

At this point I was like "What do I say? What do I say? What do I say?"

Hannah: I'm taking your silence as yes.... :P

"Crap I've got to say something!"

Ryan: I was on the phone >_>

I'm on the phone a lot for work so this was a good excuse as any.

Hannah: Sorry :(

Ryan: For what? You haven't found out anything ... :P

Hannah: Oh. Well then I quit. That's the only plausible explanation as to why I would need to send them (school) papers!!! ***.

"DID I REALLY JUST DODGE THAT!?"

Ryan: You do know I have a huge web of information out there that we have discussed right? Some of that web is lies or half truths, the other parts are real. You'll never know if I really sent that form or what it was for until later.

Hannah: Fine. Meanie!

----------------------

Needles to say I about had a heart attack. I mean she will for sure in about 14 days that I am indeed taking her out of school for a trip. But I didn't want her to think she had figured it out on her own.

Oh my goodness!!! Phew. That was close. Luckily it was in a text message and not face to face.

So what are you going to do if the school ends up calling to confirm something on the paperwork? Won't that give it away?

Yea I know! I know I would have had a huge smile on my face if it was face to face though which means nothing because I smile when I'm lying like that and I also smile when I'm not. :rotfl:

So what are you going to do if the school ends up calling to confirm something on the paperwork? Won't that give it away?

Well then I'm screwed. But more than likely they won't until after I have told her about the trip. They take forever to process things at her school. More than likely they won't even call since I put it in so far in advance.

:rotfl::rotfl: Thats perfect then!!

My family calls it my SEG. (S#^T Eating Grin) which usually means I'm up to something. I've learned to use it for my advantage though, like in situations like this.

I think I am going to spill the beans on the fact that we are taking a trip, and I am actually taking her out of school, sooner rather than later though just because what Gracefulskinny said could happen and I don't want the school to be the one to let her know a trip is happening. Also, in case the school does call her I don't want her to be all like, "No, I'm not taking a trip" and end up having to re-submit the paperwork because we are. So, sometime this weekend or early next week, maybe on Monday, I will be surprising her with those details.

We have a couple stuffed animals that we call our 'kids' for fun, so the plan is to write a note to the 'kids' 'teachers' saying something along the lines of: "Please excuse Leonardo from classes on Sept. 9th-13th as he will be on a trip with his mother and me those days. Thank you". Hopefully this will clue her in on the dates and the fact that we are going somewhere in a cute way. Then the "False Clues" will begin!

I think that's an awesome and cute idea! This way she knows she's going on a trip but doesn't know where or any of the important details! Once the fake clues start coming make sure you keep the story straight! Last time I tried to surprise my boyfriend I got the lie and the truth mixed up and ruined it. Ooops.
