Making Good on a Very Merry Promise! COMPLETE!

First of all, so sorry about Owen getting sick. I feel your pain...I don't think the flu shot protects against this kind of stuff. I believe this is just a yucky stomach bug that is going around. We didn't get a fever w/ it, but Hunter has one. It seems to run its course in about 24 hours. If you need more details let me know! I've become an expert in the last couple of days!

We LOVE the troll ride (Norway boat ride). Hunter especially. Kids like it. I think alot of people on the DIS, dis it because its not as exciting as Splash Mountain, but we like it and its definitely on our must see list! In the Norway gift shop is where you'll find the big troll. They also have cute Viking hats the kids like to try on for a photo op.

Hope the rest of your family can avoid the "bug".

I'm cracking up! That was MY first TR that I read!!! Very bummed she didn't finish it! I couldn't believe someone would make all of those shirts for their family, but I wandered over to the design boards, and guess what! I'm making tee shirts, and autograph books. She got me hooked!

Hey everyone!
I thought it would be fun, since we are all TR addicts, to tell who's trip report you read first! Was that the TR that got you HOOKED and why?
Naturally, I'll go first!
My "first" was by MNRMommy and it was called "The once in a lifetime pack it all in cuz we ain't comin' back TR"! They took a 14 day trip to the world and did everything they had always wanted to do because she was leaving her job to be a sahm and they figured they might not be able to afford it for a long time. Get this: she made shirts for all 4 of them for all 14 days of the trip!
Her TR was very informative. I learned about stuff that I didn't even know you could do. Sadly, she never finished it. But it was good while it lasted.
I got really HOOKED on TR's after reading Tiggerbell's TR ~ Jaime's Flower Power Trip. She is hysterically funny! Her report lead me to Nebo's... Nebo's to DisneyDad's... and the rest is, shall we say, history!
Who's going to go next?

Ok - I'll go:

There are four reports that I can remember actively reading before actually registering:

1. MNRMommy - me too Nicole! I loved this report and her pictures were great. I was wondering if she ever finished it or if I just lost it.

2. Eternaldisneyfan "Driving 6000 miles for the Magic: A Miracle Trip" - a very inspirational read. I was driven to tears and laughter.

3. ZZUB "The Battle for my Wallet IV: REturn of the ZZUBS" - Another inspirational report! Again driven to tears and laughter. I even had my DH reading parts of it and he is not a fan of Disney.

4. GoofyBaby "The princess and the Knave take on the World" - Very funny and informative report with tons of great pictures.

I finally came out of lurkdom to post on hhockman's report. They are former Fl residents who were going to WDW for the first time as "outsiders". As a Florida resident who may be moving in the next year or so I was curious.

A lap dance, a thief, a flasher & other magical moments by Miz Diz. Very funny family but she hasn't updated in over a week.

The other is...wait for the big moment...Making Good on a Very Merry Promise by lovebuzzandwoody. This TR is extra special because it brought me out of lurkdom! It is also the reason why I am not finished packing when I leave in 11 hours! I have to keep coming back to check for updates!

Thanks for the well wishes for Owen! I'm afraid it isn't just an upset tummy... he has a fever. I feel really bad because I haven't taken him or Evan for their flu shots yet. I was waiting to see if our ped. got the mist in. Guess I should've just gotten them the shot.

Gosh, I hope that works! It's about all the protection I have... I can't get flu shots because I'm allergic to eggs. They grow the serum in eggs - did ya'll know that? At least it's now and not 2 weeks from now. Right, Monica?

I also read eternaldisneyfan's. Very inspiring. I've read some of Nebo's, and another one of the 1st ones that I read was CourtneyandRyan's.

I'll have a bunch to read by the end of Dec! I might not have time to write my own!

Hey Nicole! How's Owen?

He did pretty good all afternoon... no puking. Then he took an hour nap at 5:00.... way not normal. While I was out taking Abby to cheerleading practice tonight he got sick again though. He was in bed when I got home but Tom said he didn't have a fever. Looks like I have company at home again tomorrow!!! Ugh... I love my little man, but I've got Disney to get ready for! And Abby's birthday party! And after this week the kids are out of school until Dec 5th!

Everyones back to "normal" today! Well, as normal as our family gets! Hopefully, the rest of your clan can avoid it!

I just lurked on the trip reports I've read. I did post once or twice on eternaldisneyfan's because I wanted to subscribe and to let her know how wonderful she was!!! I think people realize mid report that its alot of work to post, and upload all of the pictures, and keep up on responses. Life just probably gets in the way sometimes! Because, admit it, it a person doesn't acknowledge their posters then those posters stop reading! It is hard to pick up a report like DisneyDads. I've read some of it. I have to say though. His OCD packing list is very tame compared to mine!

DisneyDad's report has taken on a life of it's own! HE can't even keep up with it! It's been a lot of fun for us regulars... it is kind of our home base.

Anyone else want to share what trip report you started with? We've got 2 weeks to kill here!

OH! I have questions about pins!!! Abby has 2 pins that we (SHE ) lost the back to. Does anyone know if you can purchase replacement backs? Also... if you have a lanyard that didn't come with anything on the clip at the bottom what do you put there? Do they sell stuff separately to hang from there? LASTLY, can I get these things when I get to the world?
