Making Good on a Very Merry Promise! COMPLETE!

How the heck did I miss commenting on your update? I'm a big giant doofus!

Looks like a great set of plans. I say you move ITTBAB to your must do list. I'm so deathly afraid of bugs, but I love it. You'll like it, I promise.

Great update Love!!

I love this day the most!!

Why you might ask??

it is my DS's 4th BDAY:love:

Seriously, sounds like a great day. I am not a big fan of AK. But to each their own....

I do like the safari, though. That is a lot of fun..

Yeah for shopping:woohoo: :woohoo:

Double yeah for Gramma Day:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

You missed it because you posted right when I was posting the update! You probably posted and didn't realize it was up there. It's okay! :goodvibes

The only reason I put ITTBAB on the maybe list is because you said you liked it. Before that it was on the "when pigs fly" list!

:yay: For the little man's birthday!!! :yay:

UNCLE JOHN SAYS:
Pretty good list kid, you are starting to get it........

Thank you ... I have had a good teacher.

You need to do the Maharahjah jungle trek as well as the Pangani Forest Exploration trail. Both are very good, probably my favorites. Great photo ops of animals...it is not too much walking in my opinion....
I do like the safari, though. That is a lot of fun..

I said you'd catch what I was leaving out! Yes, the jungle trek is also a MUST do. So cool. :cool2:

The birds are awesome......tell Tom to get have a $5 bill ready, if they pick him a bird will fly to him and take it out of his hand....

Tom will want to know if they give the $5 bill back!

Dinoland, great place but you could easily spend several hours there. The boys will want to stay in the dig site. Ride Primeval whirl, its like the tea cups on a roller coaster....bring a barf bag!!

Okaaayyy :crazy2: this is not the ride for me! Or Gramma. Or Abby. Or Evan. This may be a Tom and Owen only ride.

Fest. of Lion King is a must.....Gramma will like it too!!!

I agree! I can't wait to see it.

Fastpass the safari......send Tom up ahead to go get the passes first thing...they easily give them all out by noon....

Good idea... I'll tell him you said so! ::yes::

Rafikis planet watch (Conservation station): skip it....

Nope, this stays on the must-do list. The train ride is fun - we really enjoyed it! You can see parts of the safari from the train and the barns where the animals go at night. Very cool. We didn't do the petting farm area last time and we probably won't againg this time. We liked the inside part of the cons. station though. Kind of interesting and a nice break from the heat and crowds. We saw Rafiki and Stanley here last time. :thumbsup2

Expedition Everest: Very good ride, classic Disney theme ride...Fast pass it with all 6 tickets you will have, Tom and you can ride it 3 times in a row!!! Gramma can handle the kids...

Again, good idea. I'll tell Gramma you said so! ::yes::

Dinosaur ride (formerly countdown to extinction); good ride, too intense for the boys.....Abby maybe.

Really? Cuz Evan wants to ride it. :confused3

River Rapids are good, they have changed it a little....you no longer go right under heavy water falls......you still get very wet from splashing though!!
ADVICE: If you enjoy wet underwear this is the ride for you!!

The kids really want to ride this. I hate always being the parent that says "no, I don't want to get wet" but I'm not a big fan of wet underwear either! :sad2: Anyone have any advice on staying somewhat dry on this ride? I know you can wear a poncho... does that help or does your tushy still get wet?

Flametree BBQ: It is alot to eat though and if you have a early ressie at Rainforest you might spoil your dinner!!!

It's so funny when you go all parental on me! :lmao:

ITTBAB- funny, if you have seen it once is enough.....if scared of bugs you wont like it.....

Haven't seen it... the jury is still out on this one.

Shopping, shopping.......shopping.....this isnt a flippin shopping trip....
But they do have a decent outlet mall just north of DTD on the east side of
I-4.....has one of the largest adidas stores I have seen....I'll get you directions!!

I do believe our condo is right next door! And shut up about the shopping!!!

It will be a great day at AK!!!! Gramma will love it.....:thumbsup2
ENJOY!!!

I think she will enjoy it too! I am so looking forward to it!

PS. Watch for plant people. They have people in plant costumes on stilts......bizarre but cool!!!!!:cool1:

You're talking about Devine! I hope we see her!!! She's very elusive. Nebo has been trying to get a glimpse of her for years!

hey Nicole :) Great AK update. I can't comment much on it thought since we didn't do anything there except for the safari and rafiki's animal refuge. Now I will say, when you get to AK....head directly to the Safari and you will for sure get on fast. That's what we did and we really had no wait at all. :thumbsup2

Thanks Carla! We will either do this or have Tom go ahead and get fast passes... it'll probably depend on my ankle and whether or not I'm doing okay and feel like I can trek out there quickly. :confused3

ah yes, forgot about the ankle. Better just have Tom go get fastpasses because the treck to the safari from the entrance is pretty long and it seems like everyone is running to get back there. They must have thought they were running the disney marathon or something :rotfl:

Love your update! My family loves AK!:) The petting zoo (goat pen) is fun for very young kids. Hunter was almost 3 and loved it! He brushed EVERY SINGLE GOAT! We really liked the Pocahontas show too.

UNCLE JOHN SAYS:
Tell Tom he will get his $5 back, the bird brings it back to him....But tell him he will have to smile/be happy and wave his hand around to get picked......probably wont work for him!!!LOL:rotfl2:

I just think Dinosaur ride is very intense........very dark and loud, lots of flashing lights and Dinosaurs roaring very loud......very rough ride....you get tossed all over the place........You might want to go on it without Evan and see for yourself......SERIOUS!!! Any other support on this one????? Opinions please!!!!

Plant Girl: I did not know that DeVine was her name and it was such a big deal.....

You are right on the train ride it is fun, I liked the storage barns also...BTW Con. Sta. is where they had the talking robot trash cans.....

Safari: another poster said go right to the ride and get your fast pass....thats about it too....people run to it.....pretty rediculous...

River Rapids: Ponchos wont stop wet underwear much......it well help though, but you will look like the other 70 year old blue hairs who are afraid to get wet...lots of water gets splashed around inside the giant tube...You are in a giant floating roulette wheel, you cant control where you end up. Just take one for the team already!!! Cowboy up!!! Your underwear will dry!! :laundy:
ENJOY!!!

Yes, what he says! This ride manages to freak me out every single time, on the outside it doesn't give that vibe either... but trust me it is pretty intense.

Sounds like a great plan Love. My kids love the dig site and like to make "rock angels";)

I haven't been on Dinosaur and Everest yet. Can't wait to get your opinion.

Trentmom my DS turns four Dec 11 ! They are so close ! Isn't this the cutest age ever? ;)

aww...They are close together in age.....:goodvibes

This is such a cute age.....for the most part...about 90% of the time:lmao:

UPDATE HERE!

Tues., Nov. 27 ~ Day off / MVMCP Night!

So, this morning we actually have a ressie at Kona Café. I’ve seen enough food porn to know that the Tonga toast is to die for! And I want some! BUT! I am allergic to egg whites and I know it will upset my stomach!!! Is it worth it??? :confused3 AND! the ressie is for 9:30 and well, we may just want to sleep in and move slowly this morning! BUT! My mom may still be with us and it would be nice to take her out to breakfast at the Poly! Can you tell I am very undecided on whether or not to keep this ADR??? Should I? I COULD eat something else. I COULD make the ressie for later (this is the one that I could’ve picked any darn time I wanted!). Or we could just skip it altogether and eat at the condo again! I guess ya’ll will just have to read my TR when I get back to find out what we do!!!!

Things we MAY do today (notice the lack of MUST do’s… it’s our day “off” ;) ):

~Go to Downtown Disney and do any or all of the following:
1. Bibbity Bobbity Boutique ~ Miss Abby needs to get pertied up for MVMCP!
2. Let the boys make their own light sabers at the toy store (Tom says, “They already have light sabers!” :sad2: )
3. Go to Goofy’s Candy Shop cuz Uncle John said so!
4. Just shop til we drop!

~We could also play MINI-GOLF! (Some folks around here think it’s called putt-putt! )

*Tat posted some great pics of their trip to Winter Summerland on her TR! If you aren’t reading her TR, you should be. She’s a hoot (in case you hadn’t noticed that here yet!). And now’s a good time because she had surgery today and there’s not a lot of new posting going on there for a few days – lots of time to get caught up!*

~We could also go around and check out different resorts. I want my picture taken with that big ol’ Woody at ASMovies!!! Do you think I’d get in trouble if I sat in his lap?

~We could go see a movie!

~We could lie around and watch that great big flat screen TV!!! :rolleyes1

Then we will head to the MK around 4 o’clock and get our wristbands for the PARTAY!!! :yay: I’m so looking forward to this! Ya’ll know that already but I just cannot help but gush about it! I’ve got my hopes so high that I’m afraid that if it rains out or something I will be devastated!

Things we MUST do while at MVMCP:
1. Get the MVMCP pin!
2. See Santa! :santa:
3. Watch it snow on Main Street!
4. Watch the parade!
5. See Mickey’s ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas!
6. Drink as much cocoa and eat as many cookies as our bellies will allow!
7. Ride whatever we want to ride! (Yes, Monica, we might ride Pooh! :lmao: )

Really, I just want to take in all the holiday cheer and enjoy being there with my family. :cloud9: Which reminds me... I got our shirts today!! The owner guy wasn’t there today so I didn’t ask about them putting the transfers on… besides the directions say you have to wash the shirts first. So I brought them home and washed them and Tom helped me iron the transfer onto Abby's shirt and HERE IS A PICTURE!!!!!!

IMG_0530.jpg

I may add a design to the back… I have them all ready. I just didn’t buy a lot of transfers because I wanted to make sure they would turn out before I invested a lot of cash into my little projects.

Well, those are my hopes and dreams for this day. Up next… GASP! :scared1: We’re are leaving WDW and headed to Sea World!!! :fish:

Hi Amy!

I love the shirt too! I can't wait to do the rest tomorrow!!!

I get a very bad tummy ache and then icky things happen that I won't disgust everyone with and then I'm fine. It really sucks because I wasn't allergic to them until I was in my early 20's. That's when I became allergic to walnuts and pecans too! Very strange! :confused3 Anyhoo... I'd have to eat something else if we go.... as tempting as the Tonga toast is!

I'm headed to bed.... see everyone tomorrow!!

Great update Love!!

I would say skip the Tonga Toast...You don't want to have a crappy morning:rotfl2:

Did you make an appt already for your dd at Bippity Boppity Boutique?? If you really want to and haven't, I would get on the phone pronto:thumbsup2

Mini golf looks Great.... Not sure what Putt Putt is:confused3 :lmao:

I love the MVMCP Shirt....They are so cute:cutie:

"Holy Cow......& Disneydad say's Holy Cow Also"

Great Update Love!!!

Hi Nicole! Sounds like another great day! Woody is HUGE so good luck getting up on his lap!:rotfl2: :lmao: How funny would it be if you got stuck and they had to rescue you!:lmao:

I'm at work, and I LOL when I read about POOH!!! Thanks for that...:rolleyes1

Love the shirt! How'd the printing/ironing go? You know I'm nervous about doing it so details please!

Skip the toast, and get those BBB ressies PRONTO!!!

Sharky and Monica~

Of course you are right... I should make ressies for BBB... gotta make sure Miss Thang still wants to do it though! I've got to stop thinking that NO ONE is going to be there that week but us!

THE SHIRT:
I also got the Avery transfers and followed the directions exactly. The hardest part is figuring out where to put the transfer... it's hard to see through it and probably even more so with the dark transfers. Since I was using a white shirt, I used the light transfers. It worked like a charm! I let Tom do the ironing since he has bigger muskles than me!

I was feeling lately that I might just do the MVMCP ones but now that I've done one I am hooked and MUST DO MORE!!! I'm heading to WalMart to buy more transfers and more shirts!!!! Of course, I will post pics!

But first I have some catching up to do! ;)

Hi Nicole. Love the shirts! The colored collar and sleeves makes it look even better. I can see how this could get addicting!
