My 180 day mark is coming soon and this will be my first time making ADR's as a DVC member. MDE seems to link my reservations (finally--wasn't doing it a couple months ago) but when I play around with the dining reservation feature and pretend I am trying to find an ADR for 180 plus 10 today, the calendar will allow me to do 180 plus 10 , but the result found after searching is always "we were unable to check for available tables at this time" I get the same response even if I pick a date in October of this year--so way ahead of the 180 day mark. I don't want to get to my own 180 day mark and not be able to make ADR's. I really prefer to do it on the computer to get a "jump" on those ppl that call in to make theirs. Anyone out there that has used MDE to make their ADR's and did you have problems? Thanks!

I've seen LOTS of reports of the Dining boards that the app isn't working for many or most people for 180+10. Lots of posts over there about using the "old" website for making ADRs.

How does one go about using the old site? I went to disneyworld.disney.go.com and it takes me to what I thought was the old site, but that also seems to be the same dining site that MDE is using.....Help anyone?

This I copied to my email from a poster in the dining board. But I can't find the original post... Credit goes to the OP.

So here goes:

6. Goto the 'old site' / british site at https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/en_GB/

7. DO NOT browse through the site. DO NOT click on 'My Reservations' - when I did this, it brought me back to the NEW site and I had to clear my cache in order to get back to the 'old site'

8. at 6am on the dot (if you go earlier it will let you select a date, but "Search for a Table" will be greyed out, so just wait until 5:59am) Go STRAIGHT to "Where to Eat" and click on "Make Dining Reservations"

9. Click on the date you are interested in and type in the restaurant you want, as well as the number of guests. As soon as you do, it will tell you it's over 180 days, and ask you to log in to make 180+. At this time, type in the name on your account, your check in date and your room confirmation number.

When you do, it will THEN search for your table and show the available times +/- 2 hours (I belive its 2 hrs).

10. Write down ALL your confirmations numbers and times as you receive them!!!

11. TIP: If you have an odd numbered party (like 5 people), it might show no available times. I've learned that as soon as tables for five are filled, they will show that there are no ressies, but try searching for 6. Or if there are three of you, search for four. FIRST try your exact number, but if that doesn't work, try for your party +1 and see. Most of my ADRs were fine for the party of 5, but when I typed in for BOG nothing came up. Once I typed in for 6 people, I had four or five time choices and was able to get an ADR.

12. Repeat for the rest of your ADRs. If you find that you can't get some of your preferred ADRs, make alternate ADRs but then call at 7am and see if a CM can help you get your first choices!

Thank you so much! I will try this. You would think Disney would make a few less hoops for us to jump thru, wouldn't you? I am worried if they can't get the dining site to work, what will the Magic Bands be like?:(

Good luck!!
Yeah, I was very apprehensive when DH wanted us to switch over to the new RFID AP.
We ended up doing it on our last day. Next trip will be the first time we will use it for the whole stay.
Not sure if they would have the whole system up and ready with the FP+ and all or not. I'm dreading that already.

Magic bands is a whole new world tho... :rotfl:

I wonder how long this hidden gem of a link will work? I've still got a month to go before I can make my ADRs, but because I will be battling the Christmas week crowds, I need every advantage I can get!

Here is my post about books 180+10 for Thanksgiving week:

180+10 Online Booking Success!!!
Today was our 180 day for booking dining. I was fully prepared to have to call in our reservation to get the "+10" availability; however I am happy to report I was able to book at 10 days online via the old web site at 6:00 am.

We were able to get Be Our Guest and Ohana and our Thanksgiving Day reservations at Cape May.

My strategy was to use the old web site. I read about this possibility here on the Disboards (sorry, I wish I could give credit but I've long forgotten the post). I used Google Chrome and cleared all cookies and browsing history. Then I went to: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/en_GB/. I used the menu on the opening page selecting (on the left of the page) "I am looking for: Dining". When I attempted to use the menu at the top of the page it linked to the new dining web page that would not permit the +10 booking. I had to sign in. I was later prompted to enter my resort reservation number. I did receive a few error messages during the process, but persistence paid off and I was able to make 10 days of dining reservations.

All of the reservations appear on the online "My Disney Experience" and I was able to associate all party members.

I hope this helps in some way. We had a few top reservations that we really wanted to be sure to get, especially since this will be a busy time at the parks.

That discussion can be found here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3115787

Hope you have success too! I hope the site continues to be active until they get the new web site working!

Earlier this morning, I used My Disney Experience to book BOG. The site was was quirky but it did work.

It gave me the same message Bertie got when I clicked on the Make Dining Reservations link, even though it showed me the +10 days and had shown my resort reservation.

I went back clicked on My Itinerary (from the Disney Experience Menu). I had to sign in again. Then I clicked the calendar between the <> and selected the day I wanted the BOG reservation. After that, I selected MAKE DINING RESERVATIONS from the ADD PLANS menu. I was able to select the time I wanted and search & that worked for me. I made my BOG reservation about 6:15 am Eastern for 6:20 pm.

Hope that helps someone else.
