We are approaching our 180 day mark.:cool1:We are all set to call in and make our ADR's. We had some questions about making reservations online, how easy is it and do you have better luck getting your times/restaurants you want?

Thanks for the advice.

It is so easy to make reservations online. Our 180 day mark was on Friday and I went online at 6:00 AM and I got every reservation at every time that I wanted. I actually prefer doing it on my own, I was done within 10 min. I don't think it really makes a difference if you call or do it online because for our last trip we called and still got all the reservations we wanted. The only difference is time, if you book online you can start at 6:00AM, if you call its 7:00AM. Maybe that hour will make a difference. When is your trip?

I love making my reservations online. It allows you to see multiple times for all the restaurants, I like it better than calling.

I just did both this am. I started @ 6 am (3 am my time.)
Make sure you have an account that you log into w/ Disney already set up on their site. I pulled up the site @ 5:55 am, went to make reservations, started to make a reservation and a little warning box appeared under the date which said that I was trying to reserve more than 180 days out and if I was a guest to link to my resort ressie, I clicked on the highlighted text, logged in, entered my reservation number (have that handy) and proceeded to make my ADRs. I had a list prepared w/ backups and knew which would be hard to get and went for those first. Have your credit card handy if you are getting any ADRs that require cc guarantees (CG and Akershus in my case.)
Since we have deluxe dinning for 10 days, I had a lot of ADRs to make and either my connection or the WDW site quit at 6:45, so at 7 am (4 am my time) I called and got the rest of my ADRs w/ a cm. Note, I wasted a lot of time on the computer searching for a lunch ADR @ Garden Grill, not realizing that GG doesn't do lunch.
My computer ADRs showed up on this great list on the WDW site as I entered them, but I had to add the phone ones by 'retrieving' them one by one by entering the confirmation number and my phone number on the site and now they all show up on the WDW site sorted by date and time.
Whew!

The online ADR system is fabulous. As others have said it is a breeze to make all of your reservations quickly and easily. IMHO it was even easier to use this year than last as they give you a confirmation after each ADR rather than waiting until the end (which made me nervous that their server would crash).

This year was the first time I had made ADRs online and found it very easy and convenient.

As another poster mentioned, log into your Disney account, and have your trip confirmation number handy (just in case). I received an e-mail for each reservation I made, which is nice to be able to keep track of when we're eating and where! :)

I've always made our ADRs on the phone in the past, but found online to be very simple.

Good luck!
