Recently we had a musty smell in our hotel room. I had a thought.. whew smoke was pouring outta my ears :teeth: Take 4 or 5 fabric softner sheets and poke them into the AC vent. Dont stick them in too far just enough to remove when you leave. The AC blows through them and MAN did it make our room smell Downy Fresh!!!!!

Martha move over cuz Lew is coming to town :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

You are VERY welcome! My hubby had to stay in a hotel for extended time while we relocated with his job. Nothing I hated worse than a smelly room. It was in the summer months and well all it took was a few dryer sheets and even DH was complimenting me on how nice the room smelled :goodvibes

I do this at home.....never thought about packing some for vacation. Just added that to my packing list!

Now that is a good idea....thanks! :thumbsup2

What a great idea! Thanks for sharing the tip!

I'll have to try it at home too. I live in a 80 year old house, and I know it can get "old" smelling.

I bring a yankee candle plug in and (plug it in as soon as we get to the room). We unpack, do our thing outside the room, and when we are back, it smells great. I try to get a scent that I use at home, for that "home smell."
