Howdy folks,

I understand that if you are a DVC member you can use cash in case you do not have points to cover your stay. If you do pay cash for one night for example, do you get any additional discount, or would you only get a discount if you are FL. resident or AP holder?

Also, would you be able to keep the same room?

When available, cash rooms are 25% off rack rate.

As long as the res is made through Member Services & is linked to the points res you will not have to change rooms.

I just added a cash night(Sat) onto our April points reservation(Sun-Thurs) and was told that we could indeed get the dining plan for the entire time (Sat-Thurs) and we would stay in the same room.

Sometimes Member Services does not have the room available for the cash discount, but you may be able to get a discounted rate through Member Services (remember, they have a different inventory of rooms). Both reservations would need to be linked by having the other reservation # on it and be sure it's noted when you check in. There's no guarantee that you can stay in the same room if it's a cash reservation through CRO.
