I was at Sephora recently to purchase some BE products. There was a clerk showing a woman how to apply the products. The girl actually did a really good job applying BE, but it got me to thinking... Are those brushes ever washed/sanitized? :bitelip:

IMO, there is something :crazy2: about using a brush on my face that other customers have used. :bitelip: :bitelip: I doubt that a new brush is used for every customer that asks for a demonstration. Anyone know? :confused3

I used to work at ULTA. I know girls were specifically hired to work in the aisle that had all the testers and where they did the demonstrations. They would have to clean the testers every time they were used. The lipsticks were practically given a bath. Brushes were cleaned with a brush cleaner. The ones ULTA used were a spray on kind. Brushes were also throughly cleaned on some regular basis. (I didn't work that aisle so I don't know the cleaning schedule.) A lot of the companies would even send representatives to come and teach the employees about the makeup line and how to give a demonstration with the proper tools and how to clean the testers. I know you asked about Sephora, but ULTA and Sephora are very similar. You may not see them clean the brushes but I am pretty sure they do. You probably also don't want to be there when they clean them because it would smell of rubbing alcohol and antiseptic.
