Took the troops to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat yesterday in Aberdeen. DD3 is obsessed with DVD (Donny Osmond) and CD and "belts" out most of the songs throughout the day.
They were mostly very good considering that this was there first visit to a show.
When we came out DD announced "your the best dad in the whole world for taking us to see Joseph" I could have wrapped her up there and then and preserved this moment.
Thought I would share this time when I let that masculine hard outer wall drop guard :)

There are times when kids just know when to say the right thing :cloud9:

Awww how sweet, and I agree they say some lovely amazing things.
I am at the moment having my heart melted by Ashleighs smiles and babbling :goodvibes

Bless!
Sounds like you all had a lovely time.

What a lovely thing for her to say. :) Just make sure you take plenty of camcorder tapes of her, the tapes are lovely to look back on.

What a lovely story.

Donny Osmond was my first love - first single I ever bought was Puppy Love. I know, I'm showing my age now!

Aww, thats lovely. Being a parent isn't the easiest job in the world, and most of the time they just take us for granted, but it's great when we're rewarded with these little moments that we always cherish :)

Bless her!

Glad you had a good time

Oh Reid, how wonderful. :grouphug: Its times like this when you know you're doing something as a parent right!

Snap!!! He was my first love too! I cringe now when I think about it.

We are going to see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in December at Sunderland when it kicks off its UK tour. I hope the kids are not too big for it.

Awww bless, that's almost making me broody!

We did Joseph as our school play when I was in junior school and went to see it in the West End - I too used to belt out the songs all the time (especially on long car journeys!!)

Bless her, Its a wonderful feeling when they say things like that :)

I wonder when she is 13 - 16 will I still have such good memories :rolleyes1

The show was excellent and hopefully it will not be too long before there is another show that appeals :)

AAhhh children!! There is nothing that causes more frustation but, when they are lovely, there's nothing more wonderful!! :cloud9:

Glad you all enjoyed Joseph - it's a great show! :Pinkbounc

How lovely Reid, you'll have to hold that memory for when she's being an outrageous teenager :sunny:

Reid, like Carol I was going to say it IS the memories of the sweet things they say and do that gets you through them being 13 - 16 (and beyond)
