Ever feel like adhesive is wiping out your scrapping buget. I found a blog or something that told how to make glue dots and decided to try it out. It worked well so I though I would share.

I used my scrap paper from my xyron and some paper left from glue dots I had bought but they say you can do this on wax paper too.

You have to but a bottle of Aileen's Tack-It over and over glue. It is made for fabric- you can brush it on a piece of fabric and it becomes a removeable sticker. I think it sells for about $5.00 but you would be able to make thousands of glue dots with the one bottle.

To make glue dots take the glue and make dots of it the size you want on a piece of paper (see above for types). Let it dry to clear. You can use it as a glue dot.

They seem to work very well. I know the place I saw it said they had used them for awhile and they were permenent.

You can make them any size you want. I made mine last night and used them this morning but small ones would dry in an hour or so.

Anyway I just thought I would let you all know.

Cool!!! I'll have to grab some of that tack-it over stuff this weekend and see how it works!! Could you imagine the money we would save!!! Yipee!!!

Thanks for sharing!!!

Thanks Rebecca.
What's one more thing on my scrap shopping list right? 'course I had better use up those dots that PN96 bought me first.
How long does the glue last if you don't open the bottle? Months or years?

Thanks Rebecca.

I only just opened the bottle that I had bought 4-5 years ago to make the ones I made.

After they dry I wrap the paper around the rolls of glue dots i have around the house. It is said you can use wax paper but I haven't tried. I suppose I could just use another sheet of the xyron backing on the top as well as the bottom as another option.

Hi. I got to go find and dig out my old bottle of glue. I have looked and cannot find this glue here in Ontario, Canada. But I did buy one yearssss ago in the states.

I was buying things for the church through createforless.com and got the 3 bottles I have for maybe $6 at a time. I know in the couple of weeks I have saved tons of money.
