Hi, since we're true Disneyholics I broke down and bought the Brother Disney sewing/embroidery machine SE270D at Walmart back in Nov. OMG I love this machine! I have NEVER sewn and find myself saying this is SO easy. Even my kids can embroider. We have put Disney characters on lots of stuff, sweatshirts, t shirts, sweatpants. I then bought this thing called an Amazing Box so that I can download designs from the internet and embroidery CDs to a flash card and put it into the machine. This works great too. Now I just have to figure out how many items I have to do myself in order to justify the cost of the machine

and my home ec teacher was really young, right out of school. She is now a ESOL teacher (english as second language) teaching at my daughters' school. We laugh about how I didn't learn how to sew with her but I DID learn how to cook! I mean I couldn't even hem if it wasn't for that Stitch Witchery stuff. This machine is so easy that my two daughters, 7 & 9 can load the thread, start the machine and change the thread colors. The hardest part is hooping the fabric. I have talked to some people since I started doing this and they gave me some wonderful pointers that make my designs look a lot more professional.
