Make-up in August

This will sound insane... but if you don't want mascara running down your face before noon, maybe try false lashes! If you use really short, thin ones, they bring out your eyes nicely and look good in photos (and you don't have to worry about liner/mascara).

Oh honey, I'm the same way! I've determined that I will stay 36, since that's a reasonable age!

You might want to consult a dermatologist. I have terrible rosacia, and finacia works wonders for me. Also, CeraVe cleanser + neutrogena hydrobost pre makeup works too. But, yeah, ageing sucks.
I have a hard time finding a foundation that has good coverage for dry skin that moisturizes to.

Powder foundation! And like others have said- makeup setting spray. There is one that is cooling and it feels great.

I don't leave my house without makeup on. I have uneven skin tone, and some acne flare ups. For days when I don't need much coverage, I use Philosophy's The Supernatural. It evens skin tone, has sunscreen, moisturizes, and feels like nothing on the skin. For days I need a little more coverage I use Urban Decay's Naked Skin foundation. It looks very natural in sunlight, and feels light. I use different foundations for heavier coverage as well, but none I would recommend for a day outdoors in Florida's summer. Also, if oil/shine are a concern for you, E.L.F. has a translucent mattifying powder that is amazing!

I still wear make-up at WDW despite the heat. Foundation, powder, concealer, eyeliner, a light eye shadow, waterproof mascara and eyeliner, and lip gloss. I look asleep and splotchy without it, lol! Our last trip I used a primer and setting spray for the first time and it really helped keep it all from fading.

I go with some BB cream and waterproof mascara for the parks. If you are fair skinned, the BB creams from South Korea are amazing. I'm a fan of the gold BB cream from Skin 79. As for waterproof mascara, I love Lights, Camera, Splashes from tarte. It held up through my wedding so Disney is no problem :P

We went in September and I wore makeup the whole trip with no trouble. I did end up looking a little sweaty by the end of the day, but I was experimenting with finishing sprays and picked a pretty cheap one for the trip.

I wore waterproof eyeliner and mascara (stila liquid liner, unsure about the mascara I change brands a lot), and Bare minerals foundation/cover up with a little sunscreen dabbed over the top. I'm going to try one of those Urban Decay finishing sprays next.

I'm in my mid-40s :crazy2: and while I don't wear much makeup for casual outings, in Disney I used Urban Decay Naked Skin Illuminating Beauty Balm every day. It has spf20 and I used it on top of my usual spf 30 moisturizer. It evens skin tone and improves your skin a bit with regular use. Garnier BB Cream works well too but the Urban Decay is a bit lighter for August heat.

I find using a good make-up primer can help. I use the one from Bare Minerals. You could also try their mineral powder make-up.

My favorite option for natural summer looking coverage is to mix liquid foundation with moisturizer. You basically create your own tinted moisturizer. I also own an all in one, which is nice if I'm feeling lazy and want my moisturizer, SPF, and coverage in one easy step, but it doesn't look as nice. I then put a setting powder on top. I have combination skin, so I have to moisturize, SPF lotion is unlikely to be enough moisture, but I also have to set the makeup to prevent oil.

I really like Tarte products. I have their setting powder, powder foundation, liquid foundation, concealer, and eye shadows. I just have not been that impressed with drugstore brands, and I try to avoid parabans which is really hard at the drugstore brand level.

Benefit's They're Real (not a fan of the name) mascara works very well. I end up with horrible smudges under my eyes with most mascaras. This one stays in place all day and makes my lashes look awesome. Be careful with the brush though, it's very pointy.

I like to finish the look with blush. This basic amount of coverage takes about 5 minutes. Very easy.

Make up is not optional in my life. It's worn every day if I'm leaving the house. Every.single.day. No matter the temperature or where I am. And this is without having my photo taken every day. At Disney this is even more of an issue as I'm in photos. Last thing I want is a photo taken without make up.

The only change I make to my usual routine is I wear waterproof mascara at Disney. Normally I do not as it's harder on your lashes over time.

I curl my lashes but never use mascara. They are black, though, so maybe that wouldn't work for someone with lighter lashes.
Yea, as someone with blond lashes this does not work at all. Matter of fact, they are so pale I have to tightline or there is a visible gap at the base of the lash after I apply mascara

Use primer and a setting spray and you will be set all day. I have Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray, I highly recommend it.
I use their Oil Free one. Love the stuff too

I always wear make-up even if it's hot, I'll do a light concealer and then bare minerals foundation. I've done eyelash extensions before trips (it's not for everyone) but it's amazing how it speeds up the morning routine and no worry about flaking, smearing mascara. I have short lashes so don't have luck with most mascaras, they always get everywhere. I also have worked to correct my skin issues and have had amazing results with Rodan and Fields products, so next trip I won't even need the cover-up because I don't have that dark spot anymore :).

I live in an area with four seasons, but our summer can be as hot and humid as Florida. I use different products depending on the season.

Perricone MD no-make-up product line is my travel go-to, and you can get a kit that includes the no-foundation foundation, blush, mascara, and spf lipstick from Sephora or their site. As far as other individual products

I use Colorscience wild-to-mild primer and their tinted powder sunscreen that comes in a tube with brush combo. I also like Tarte's CC cream and clay powder compact.

For blush, I like the cream ones from Tarte or Josie and the powder ones from Laura Gellar or Tarte

For tinted lip balm, Pacifica and Fresh (though it can melt if not in a bag) are my favorites.

For eyes, I am a fan of Tarte and Smashbox eyeliners - the current kit from Sephora is fabulous. Mascara I generally don't use since I have black eyelashes, but I like Too Face Better than Sex, as previously mentioned. Too Faced will sometimes sell it in a small kit with the eyelid primer, which I use as my every-day eyeshadow.

Urban Decay setting spray is great, but if you are a drugstore fan, NYX has a fabulous setting spray that is more cost effective.

In the past I've worn mineral powder foundation. I decided this year to try tinted sunscreen. After some research I decided to try La Roche-Posay Anthelios 50 Mineral Tinted Ultra Light Sunscreen. Over the weekend I found it on sale at Target. I haven't tried it yet. Hopefully my skin likes it.

Tinted sunscreen (the one from Coola is the only one that does't break me out)
I'll keep this one in mind if the one I bought doesn't work for me.

Invest in a good setting spray. I like Ben Nye's Final Seal, but instead of spritzing it on my face, I spray it onto a flat top brush and stipple it on.

When I went in August my daughter and I used Physicians Formula we bought from Walmart. It was light with good coverage and stayed on pretty well ( with light re-application when we got real sweaty). AND used waterproof mascara!!!!!!!!!. Its cheap but not cheap. By that, I mean, that for people who use the real mineral make up its cheap :) For me and my sad budget $12 is not cheap :) My daughters and I love it and have gotten my sister to use and love it as well!

I'm usually the photographer, so the Disney pics might be the only ones that include me in our annual photo album. As a result, I don't go to the parks without makeup. I like Smashbox Studio Skin. It's about $34, but it lasts and photographs really well. I also use sunscreen underneath it. I have used that foundation for 2 trips in September, and it worked fine.
