DD11 is in a play at school, Peter Pan, you may have heard of it:tinker: . She is Nana :dogdance: . They asked the kids to come with foundation and mascara already on to speed up the make-up process. Her director sent a note asking me to apply DD's foundation fairly dark so it matches her costume, hey no problem except, DD has this lovely olive complexion that most people would die for. I, on the other hand, have a complexion similar to Casper the Friendly Ghost. No matter how much of my foundation I apply, she is still going to look like she stepped out of the morgue. . I hate to buy foundation for her to use for two performances but I am going to have to do that. I don't have time to stop by a make-up counter someplace for a free sample :rotfl2: .

Maybe you can use the foundation again for halloween! Tell her I said "break a leg."

DDs' (first grade) classes are doing the Three Piggy Opera next month, and parts are supposed to go out early next week. We are waiting with baited breath. Maybe I can borrow your foundation if they get the part of the Big Bad Wolf!

Best wishes to your DD. Just stop into a drug store and look for Wet and Wild. Their foundation isn't all that bad, but very cheap. I imagine they need darker on her no matter what since she is the dog and it won't matter if it matches her tone exactly. I've found olive skin is really hard to match no matter what. Most foundations are too orange or pink for me.

Thanks for the tip. I found some at Walgreens, $2.99. SHe looked like an oompa-loompa when she left but it should look good with her costume. We leave for the play in 1/2 hour-she is already there. Should be interesting, middle school productions can be good or they can be really, really bad!

Good luck, tell her "break their legs"

It's the "Italian" theater well wishing....
