Make Those Ps!

I made a PS for Chef Mickeys for dinner 3 days ago

We find that even when we call from our room, we are told there are no PS's left..then we just go over (Chef Mickey's and Cape May..always the same story..they tell us they are filled) at 4:45 for MIckey and 5:00 for Cape May, and we have always gotten in when they open. Both places have been very dead. I'm talking Sept - May, not the summertime. I believe RF at AK was another place that said the last seating was such and such a time..we've gone over, and gotten seated...after the last time period.
I have asked why I couldn't get a PS, and they have told us, they just don't know...as they have plenty of tables. So if at first they say no, if able, stop in at the time you wanted to go (when they first open is best).

I know that it has been posted many times here lately that you really don't need a ps for most restaurants. I feel much more comfortable when I know that the restaurants that I want to eat I will be able to eat in.

I agree--good advice. Even if you make them the same day, it's a good idea.

having just read this thread about no walk up ps's i was wondering if we were to ring when we are there(staying on site)would we be able to get seating that way

Possibly, but not guarenteed. We were doing some switching on our PSs on our last trip and wanted to move our breakfast at 1900 PF to a different day, but nothing was available. It just all depends on the popularity of the restaurant and the meal time.

hi all
thanks for that
i will definatly make ps's for those that we most want to eat in and just call dining from our room to see if we can get any other's we may want,as long as i eat in the main ones we want to eat in then that's fine with us:D :D

eve

Thanks for the great advice. Does anyone know if you can still make your PS's at 120 days or is now 90 days?

Thanx for the heads up... I just made our PS for October, and was pleasantly surprised. We got seven out of eight of our times exactly, but we had to be a little flexible at CRT.

We have called disney dining at times from inside a park on the cell phone to get a PS when we decide what we want for dinner. Sometimes they do not have the exact time we are looking for, but at least we know if they are really busy we will get seated. Even if we have to wait a while.
Also one time for lunch at crt we were very lucky to have a very nice staff working we were quite late for the ps, but they put us into the list anyway, and let us go eat an amazing lunch, even though they were a bit busy.
