Make sure you purchase your tickets or upgrade your AP before this weekend

The AP time doesn't begin to run until the voucher is activated and you've gone through a gate.

Wait, at least for me, activation was activation. I bought my pass online, then visited Disney Springs about 6 weeks later to activate it. I did not enter a park with it until the next day. My expiration date is based on the day I activated at Disney Springs, NOT the day I entered a gate. Did I get cheated out of a day?

Just got off the phone with a CM and was told I could not upgrade my 6 day park hoppers over the phone and must do it in person because it was part of a package. That stinks since I will arrive in 9 days. Going to cost me an additional $210 to upgrade now. Sheesh.

That has changed (very) recently.
USED to be the way you described.

That's bad info.
Call again.
Really? The first one said he couldn't help me but believed I had to do it in person then transferred me and after a half hour wait was told the same thing. So frustrating

Package tickets are the "easiest" to get changed in advance.
(Not kidding.)

What are you trying to upgrade to?

It's now 6PM, Eastern Time, and nobody has yet posted (here) about an announcement from Disney that new ticket prices will go into effect tomorrow.

I was just curious. I don’t regret buying mine now since I was going to soon anyhow.

Last year, I held off because I was hoping to get a good deal like I did in 2016–Parksavers buy 4 days & get 7. As busy as the parks have been, that doesn’t seem likely this year.

Worst case, can they just cancel the package tickets and then add new package tickets? I always thought that tickets were non-refundable and non-cancellable, but I was once able to remove tickets from my package and get a full refund with zero hassle.

My fast passes are tied to the tickets I believe and I do not want to risk losing them so I will try one more time calling and hope for the best. Not sure the formal announcement on increases has come out so perhaps I'll get lucky.

See Robo’s post above. It does not look like the increase will happen tomorrow.

Ooo... good point. Yes that would be a loss, so not a good idea. Hope you will be lucky!

While I could be mistaken, I feel like one year (within the last 5-6) they increased ticket prices without any prior announcement.

Disney never pre-announces it to the PUBLIC.

But, they need to pre-announce it to their ticket CastMembers.
It is they who let us know about it on these boards.
